What does 1.0 - 0.1 - 0.0.1 means?

is 0.1 and 1.0 a quick way to show gender?

yep 1.0 is male 0.1 is female and 0.0.1 is unsexed. so if you see 2.3 it means 2 males and 3 females, or if you see 0.0.3 means 3 unsexed animals

Yup :joy:.
We have all had that exact feeling you just went through :joy:

I messaged a breeder when I very first was looking at snakes to see what they had and they replied along the lines of “3.5 het Lavenders”. My first reaction was “oh dear! That poor snake… Wait is he offering me half a snake???.. I need to Google this” :joy:

And it is very rarely used, especially for snakes but some lizard species keepers (generally hobby keepers with limited numbers of breeding animals) will list their eggs, often in reptile forum signatures. So if you ever see 1.2.3.4, the last number is fertile eggs. That one took me awhile to figure out the first few times I saw it!
