Howdy yall, I have a Lavender Albino Platinum Motley Retic reaching 3 months now. I have been looking into buying a female to pair with him in the future. I was thinking of a Lavender retic with platty and goldenchild. What would be your suggestion?
super platinums are leucistic. They don’t live long before they develop an intestinal problem and die.
So, if you do go with another Lav you will end up with a mix of White, Lav, and Purple Albinos. Like Don (@ballornothing) said, super platinums are Lucys and tend to develop GI issues early in life and pass away. But everything else you mentioned would work and make some beautiful babies.
Also the super repetative but ever important reminder - make sure you’re ready for babies you might have to keep! Retics can have a ton of viable eggs per clutch and (as you know) babies get big! Make sure if the market isn’t receptive to your clutch that you are able to house and feed any babies you have to hold on to.
If you end up having a clutch, please post photos, we don’t have enough retic posts on here imo!
I second what @cmills said about not having enough retic pics posted here. Be a nice change from the norm.
