That looks great! Super excited for you! I hope you’ll share pictures of your new critter when you get them.

Tarantulas really do make wonderful pets. They’re so much fun to observe and interact with.

Thanks! Yep I definitely will be. The anticipation is killing me though

Decided to go with a Mexican Red Rump instead of the Curly Hair. Not sure of the sex yet because it’s still too young but here it is! Already loving it’s new home and silking it up.

First picture is on the side of it’s new enclosure and the second was the container I bought it in.

Man I’m so stoked right now, was an early birthday gift from my wife and I couldn’t be happier! Definitely the high light of my year.

Sounds like you better keep her.

The wife that is!

Ya she’s a keeper . The curly hair T’s I looked at were still little slings and I wanted something a little bigger and pulled the trigger on this one for $40.00

S/he looks great! If you want to find out their sex, be sure to retrieve their next molt (ideally before they shred it). There are lots of pictures and videos online showing how to look inside a molt and find out if your tarantula is male or female. Yours looks like it’s big enough to tell fairly easily, so long as the abdomen on the molt is intact.

Yep, waiting patiently.
