Hello everyone, I hope life is find you all well in life . Man I’ve been thru a lot, the last little while. My mother had a triple heart bypass and I came to a crossroads, where I felt like maybe , I should get out so I spend more time with my mother and give that time to my kids . I put my collection up for sell and had a few offers and two visits, but no on was willing to pay the price I was comfortable with to buy my business and collection and equipment and walk away with no regrets.
I love the boas and the show must go on!
We have done a lot in 22 + years in the hobby… let’s keep going!
Ok pinkbelly white wall project is in active breeding right now.
Male subject is a IMG proven breeder het kahl and I’m not sure if he really is a hey anery, but we’ll find out either way!
He is breeding to last seasons proven breeder A2 pinkbelly white-wall jungle hypo pos het less then 50% sqtail and 50% poss dh anery type one and kahl albino
this breeding is taking place to attempt to make half white half black snakes.
name for the combo is not 100% but we have a good idea of what we are doing . We are also doing this to rule out kahl and anery as influence to the white wall and it wouldn’t be all bad tho to see more anery whitewall and ghost white-wall just like there great grandma ( Eva mendez ) the original white wall super ghost produced by Dave Collins rainbows-r-us and Doug matuzak of boa basement. 2011 .
I also want show an update picture of one of the animals we sold which is the male in the original gene discussion. Unfortunately I have no idea how to work this thing, to link them together, but we also have updates for all the babies as well…some very nice animals. I do wanna touch a key point regarding the whitewall project. It definitely is progressive and I have now held them back about a year with exception to the few I have sold and kept close to home . Similar to sugar and calico ball python, it increases with age and is subject from animal to animal with variable expression.
Which is why we think, there is a possible super.
also because we bred sib x sib and made two animals that looked to be super forms.
Something I wanna touch on is understanding how gene stack works. Genes can compliment or mute etc. depending one what you do.
We’ve seen this with piedbald balls pythons and how it’s able break up or increase pattern, based on what it’s bred too!
(It is super hard to get good pictures the light and camera just do not. Do these animals any justice
this is also true here. In base for it is subtle lowrider and expressive increasing with time, but bred to things like Aztec, jungle ,hypo, pastel that remove black or clean up gives white-wall a playground or canvas to play off of and go to work. You’ll please excuse the photos breeding can be a lil messy and I don’t want to interrupt them as they just now started going at it !
here is update side view of the male baby now over a year old. owner reached out to me and said he definitely is seeing progress more and more as he sheds and grows … I’m very proud and excited for that male!. Here is a couple very nice pink belly jingle white-wall babies as well with no hypo. You can see three lines of coloration coming up from the bottom a white pink salt coarse look eating away at the low flanks belly side (white-wall ) and then the pastel. My pinkbelly does exactly what’s named after
a full pink side trying to fight for position give a beautiful pink grapefruit glow and then your classic beautiful jungle nubuck color clean and a nice pattern . I also included a normal white-wall pinkbelly pastel and a the female pinkbelly HyTec white-wall jungle. And Ruben a pinkbelly white-wall hypo very Greta color. They are all 100% het Vpi!
