I would like to see all of the Neutral/Negative seller ratings brought back in the seller review sections. I am assuming that now after a certain amount of time they are considered not important enough to list? I for one would like to see them all brought back.
For instance, if mites were ever reported on an animal I think it should be listed no matter how long ago it was. I realize that sometimes sellers are unfairly criticized but I believe that ALL Neutral/Negative ratings in the review history should be accounted for. It should be for the buyer to decide the relevance before buying an animal.

I may be misunderstanding what you’re seeing here.
All seller ratings (positive, neutral, and negative) are always visible and are not removed or hidden over time. Could you clarify where you’re noticing this issue?
When you click on some older negative ratings the actual ratings are not displayed to read. It says something like “no information is available”.
I just assumed they dropped off over time.
I recently bid on and won an animal where the seller had 1 negative rating but the rating would not display. I will try to do a screenshot……

I just assumed two things:
that after 12 months that the reviews might not be visible.
that the review may have been disputed and removed
I’m starting to wonder if maybe the reviews in question are attached to an animal that was archived or maybe deleted by the seller? I don’t know if that’s something you can check on the backend
Edit to add: I haven’t kept track of any sellers to offer a lead on this thought. Maybe Caron can PM you the name of that particular breeder for a start.
I can DM you the name of the seller if that would help. Something is definitely going on because I used to see ALL the reviews. I am one who always checks the reviews.
When reviews are curated, they lose all value. In simple terms, it’s a lawsuit thing. Just make a list of great questions to ask each seller and go with whichever one seems best. In forums, you can often see who has a good reputation with a certain species. Most will say to avoid pet stores. If you need to get a permit in your state, as many require, you will want to be very sure you will be given a complete receipt, which some sellers, even good breeders seem to like to avoid. Again, good questions are your friend.
We’re not talking about the reviews that certain tiers of sellers are capable of curating. Or how to find a seller.
This is a trouble ticket about reviews that should be available for everyone to see regardless of what the seller wants. We’re trying to fix it.
As @eaglereptiles said, no reviews should be hidden. This seems to be an issue with the backend taking 12 months or later reviews and hiding or archiving them. It looks like it affects all ratings, but 1-3 stars are the most notable ones missing because most reviews are 4-5.
Yes, vetting breeders on your own is what everyone should be doing and reviews are part of that. TOS here does not allow discussions on recommendations or reviews, so the best you can do is see who’s chatting and if they have a shop in their profile.
Outside forums can be very niche or have some very knowledgeable people with unhealthy practices. MM will weed these out if there’s too many support tickets or issues seen.
Thanks for the post but this is not what I’m talking about. I’ve been here since 2020 and have been relying a good deal on, although not solely, the review detail information. There is a glitch in the system that needs to be corrected……
