Why aren’t Texas indigos kept?

I’m wondering why aren’t Texas indigos kept when Eastern indigos are they look almost exactly the same and personally I would love to keep them but there must be some reason they aren’t kept that I’ve seen. The only reason I asked this is because my grandma sent me a picture of one thinking it was and eastern indigo(one of my dream reptiles).

TX indigos are not nearly as dramatically coloured as the Easterns. They are kept within the hobby but tend to be lower on the popularity because they are out-competed by their larger/more catchy cousins (Easterns, Mexicans, YTC, BTC, etc.) They were also protected within TX until recently which put a bit of a damper on acquiring them
