My ~12 month old crested gecko, pumpkin, is only ~20 grams. She doesnt always offer the food i give her, and shes too jumpy to eat live food. Shes never accepted hand fed, either. I got her when she was ~3 months old, and shes been absolutely amazing when it comes to handling. She regularly gets a little stuck shed on her tummy, and i dont know what im doing wrong. Her temp and humidity are in the appropriate range, she has rocks and other things she can rub against. Shes hydrated, and i know shes eating because shes constantly pooping on me. I’ll attach images of her and her enclosure.
She looks great body wise. Just a slow grower.
Have you out bugs in with her? X

I wouldn’t say 20g is low for a 1 year old at all! Ive seen geckos weighing anywhere from 5g - 30g at 1 year old, so at 20g she’s right on track. They all grow at different rates, what you feed them can make a difference but doesn’t always. Temperature is another thing that can help with growth, a lot of people keep them quite cool which isn’t necessary and can actually be detrimental.
