I’ve had this little gal for a while now and she was my first crestie before I got a few more with known genetics. I got her at a local expo - she was in a bin with a lot of other unidentified babies. Anyone have some ideas?
Dark pinstripe Het EB with broken lateral stripes🤔
Dark based Harley eb pinstripe.
In the uk we don’t say het as its co dom and not recessive x
Getting used to this myself haha x
It’s an inc dom, het just means one copy and has nothing to do with it being recessive.
But yeah, how EB is talked about is a bit confusing, as some use het EB and EB, others use EB and Super EB, and some use Het EB and Super EB. I always found it more precise to use het EB and Super EB, since then there’s no doubt what you’re talking about, but as long as everyone knows what you’re talking about
Oh I got corrected the other day for saying het in a group here I was like sorry, I’m used to the Americans now
Thing is. The EB to me don’t look empty back. The Super EB are empty backed…
So it’s like Het EB and EB… looking at them wise. It makes so much more sense too… but it’s not a recessive. But it looks like it…
My Super EB’s parents don’t look EB at all. Ones a red bicolour dal which is very hard to know with unless the gecko produces them… and the other Harley partial pin. Which ok, looking at him I can see due to base. My boy was only super they’d made I know of so far…
It’s probably the only thing that I hate the way its spoken about and called i won’t lie
Agreed, het EBs are so varied, some are barely visuals while others almost look identical to supers… it can be a tricky trait to id, and people not agreeing on what to call it doesn’t help😅
