I have a two year old male dumerils who previously ate frozen thawed mice no problem. He stopped eating for a couple months so i took him to the vet who found he had nothing wrong with him and the consensus was he was in brumation because it was winter. Now its summer, and he was eating around this time last year, and he just never regained his appetite after the winter. If he still doesnt eat this next weekend im taking him back to the vet but im curious if anyone has any tips. It seems like hes stuck in brumation? He has 7% UVB and recently i got him a deep heat projecter that im hoping will be the final push because of its better infrared heat, his lamp is set to 85 F, and his cold side/ambient does fluctuate but as of summer is usually around 75 F to 80 F. He still burrows and drinks water just fine. I dont have exact humidity readings but hes on coconut husk and reptibark that i add water to every weekend, and has a living pothos in his tank. He has no interest in the food and only seems interested in moving away. I saw someone else had this problem with a dumerils and got theirs to eat with warmer weather and the vet told me not to worry unless he developed signs of illness but he is losing weight and i would like any help if anyone knows what to do.

Have you noted any lethargy, behavior change (outside of food refusal), or odd appearing waste from the snake?
hmm can you bump the hot spot to 88-90, 85 could be slightly on the cold side which might be why he’s not eating, just don’t handle him and after that if it still doesn’t work adding scents to his food like dipping it in low sodium chicken broth(with no garlic, onion, or spices) or scenting it with quail and sometimes offering the mice when its night helps!

update! he ate! seemed changing his heat worked, if anyone else has this problem id recommend trying different heat sources not just temperatures because his old one just didnt seem to heat him up thoroughly enough no matter how warm
