Final count is eleven eggs!
Holy moly! You’re gonna have little noodles runnin everywhere!
Guess we’ll see how the other two clutches I had planned pan out. Sienna is under egg watch, and Sylvestris is deep in blue.
I hope the other two ladies are full of eggs as well! A dozen from each lady would be very nice!!! ![]()
Huge congratulations!! To you, Jess, to the lovely Pineapple, and to Zuko!

Yay, congrats! Always a relief once they’re done laying without issues.
Gave Pineapple’s eggs a candle today and 11/11 are developing right on schedule.
Sylvestris has now shed, so that’s two girls on egg watch. I’m also keeping an eye on Azula. After her escapades last month, I suspect she’s either going to lay some slugs or surprise me with a retained sperm clutch. Hoping she doesn’t, but can’t really help things at this point.
Hooray for developing eggs! Is Sienna prowling and restless, or settled into her nest box?
Settled for now.
Excellent. Hopefully she’ll give you a healthy clutch soon now. And Sylvestris too, soon enough!
Shouldn’t be long. ![]()
Wasn’t sure I would get anything out of this little experiment, but it looks like there might be hognoses coming this year!
Sorry to everyone who is seeing this photo again. ![]()
Good luck! I only have one hog, so I can’t be tempted by this experiment.
Well, bit of an odd clutch from Sienna today. Checked in this afternoon to see eggs in her lay box. Not sure how they’ll go as they seemed almost greasy and are very oddly calcified, as well as there being only six. They’re also quite yellow, but candling showed they were fertile so into the incubator they went.
“Incubate till there’s no debate.”
That is indeed the plan! Very much hoping the severe weather tonight doesn’t cause a power outage. I actually moved all but seven of my snakes downstairs due to the risk of tornadoes.
Oh my! Hope you guys stay safe!
Thanks, me, too! Right now we’ve got significant wind, rain, and I can’t tell but possibly hail.
Edit: That’s definitely hail after a quick check.
Stay away from the windows! ![]()
