2025 Haus full of Noodles

I was actually right in front of my bedroom window with the drapes open. Thankfully it seems the worst of it missed us, and the sky is clearing up for now. There is another band of storms, but I don’t think that one is supposed to be as bad.

Hooray for eggs from Sienna! Hopefully those will do well. Do you think she’s done?

Hooray for potential little hoggies, too!

Hooray (three cheers overall and three cheers for this one) hooray, hooray for being safe from storms. Praying that you stay that way.

Hope things still keep away for now!

I’ve never had luck with leopard gecko eggs when they were like that. They would fail on me a couple weeks in. I hope that it’s just gecko luck and not noodle luck!

But I hope you get to see little hoggies playing dead in a few months!

She does feel done, but I’ve left the lay box just in case.

I’m hoping maybe these were just super fresh or something, I’ll re-check them for growth in a week or two. At that point it should be pretty clear.

Up until now I had totally forgotten babies do that and now I am exceedingly excited for potential hognose hatchlings! :joy:

As of now, the severe weather looks like it’s done for the evening. Chance of a second little band of storms in an hour-ish, but I don’t think it’ll even be notable. We had a gorgeous sunset this evening.

I got a little impatient and did an egg check. All of Pineapple’s are developing perfectly. As of right now, 5/6 of Sienna’s have visible veins. There is one that looks dubious, but I’ll give it time. Sylvestris is now ten days post shed and looking quite large.

Decent findings on the egg check. Hopefully Sylvestris will soon present you with more healthy eggs!:egg:

We had more storms today with lots of wind. I’m glad you are OK!

Can’t leave well enough alone, so I candled the “dud” from Sienna again on a hunch…It turns out the embryo is just adhered to the bottom of the egg, so I wasn’t seeing it due to the direction I was candling it from! That means that despite looking very questionable on the outside, all six eggs are showing development.

Yay for the little milk dud! I can’t wait to see what pops out when those eggs get “crackin!” Now leave ‘em alone!!! :joy::joy:

Woke up this morning and had a feeling I should check on Sylvie.

Due to limited incubator space, her eggs will be sharing a container with Sienna’s. Looks like eleven good eggs and one slug.

She is the last expected clutch. There’s always the chance Azula still produces without pairing. I’ve also got my fingers crossed that Eevee, my hognose, does indeed go on to lay.

Now for the hardest bit, waiting.

Yay Sylvie! So many good eggies~

Also very amusing how you can clearly see which eggs are from which mom. Hahah

Comes in so very handy when you have multiple clutches in a single box. No way I’m confusing them! :joy:

Well, make that ten good eggs from Sylvie. Tonight’s incubator check revealed mold growth and some pungency. There was one egg that was mostly calcified that had a sluggy spot and that ended up being the one that went bad.

Excellent! Good luck with the clutch, Jess.

I’m assuming the rest still look good? I’m sorry you had one go bad.

All the rest are looking great, with notable vein development. So that’s eleven from Pineapple, six from Sienna, and now ten from Sylvie.
