Thanks! There are other posts with pics in them too. The Bantams took over my posting too!
This one is a Miami Sunkissed Stripe het Cinder female. ![]()
Dean has a way of putting thoughts like this into our heads……. ![]()

You got a lotta catchin up to do!
. But it’s going to be a lovely journey!!! ![]()
@tommccarthy This is Dumpling, a full brother to the one you like. He’s still not quite like a grey-banded king, but he has larger spots down the back and more red. He still has some growing to do, and I wonder if he’ll pull more yellow as he does.
@deanaii I think this one of mine has some common heritage with Piperita:
Calla Lily: Buttermint tessera stripe 66% lavender
Are you planning to cross her into the bantam line?
I was just about to ask this, a peppermint bantam might be too good for me to pass up

So pretty!! I don’t have that plan for Piperita yet, but it might happen. I have Bantam Amels now (Inferno and Saffron). Other people I know are doing some outcrossing. Right now my only actual outcross target is Bantam Topaz. ![]()
The genes are already there in the Bantam family, but Bantam Cinder + Amel (Peppermint) is hard to hit alone because of the prevalence of Sunkissed and Caramel in the family.
Bantam Amel Shatter (Cinder + Sunkissed) is much more likely. ![]()
I’m aiming for one of those, for sure! Amel shatters are so cool!
My friend Mikelle at @serpentineworks is breeding a male Amel Shatter to a Bantam this season. ![]()
Impulse pairing. Evidence in lower left of pic. 1.1 ‘21 A-Grade Miami Tesseras from Low Belly Reptiles.
There ya go again!!! ![]()
None of us is getting younger, so it was time. ![]()
Looks like you’re having some fun outside of Bantam. Good for you!
We’ll see! ![]()
Nice pair, Dean! Hope they give you lots of pretty babies. Impulse pairings are fine when you have such stock to support those impulses. ![]()
Thanks Caryl! Bantam wasn’t unwelcome, but it killed lots of other fun plans that I acquired beautiful snakes for. But I couldn’t let this one go. They’re five this year. In their prime. I didn’t prep her, but she’s huge (600g). The male’s even bigger. I gave the female a jumbo after their session.
Really really pretty Dean!
