Awww poor baby. I feel so bad for every neglected animal. It may be just my opinion but people should face negligence/abuse charges for what they do to animals. We wouldn’t and by all means not allow it to happen to children, so we shouldn’t tolerate it when it comes to animals. I guess because many people think “it’s just an animal” they have been taught that. Whenever we place ourselves in a superiority position, we are then capable of terrible atrocity because it becomes “justifed” in their mind. Im not of the mind of PETA or other animal rights activists, but i believe every life deserves a certain level of respect and care even if its food. To me needless abuse or suffering is unacceptable. In or advancing in civilization, we evolve to new perspectives and we can do better when it comes to animals. Tradition prevents people from evolving. I hope that baby finds a person who will love and care for it for its life, it does deserve better.

Peta is kinda propaganda…but I totally agree with everything said. Thats why she decided to take him & give him a chance & let it know what its lije to be loved. … he gas such a cute personality…is sooooo grateful to be fed. As said… its not much but we are paying someone to give him a life worth living. Its more than he cost @ pet smart orginally…which is also sad

Wish i could help out but im mostly an invert keeper so i don’t have the proper enclosure for a lizard at this time. I have always had reptiles and amphibians inverts and fish and an assortment of animals from rats to chickens ducks and pigs. I cut back on my animals i keep typically to low maintenance animals because of my health. Even my Rosy boas are somewhat low maintenance. Just clean the enclosure change the subrate feed and water and make sure they have 85° temp they nearly have that heat in my room because of all the heaters. With the fan running full speed its 83° in here, im dying but my babies need the heat.

Absolutely love my rosy boas they are my 1st snakes ever! Now that i know about them, i think they are some of the least complicated snakes ( imo ) they eat no problem and if they had their way theyd have 2 dinners :joy:. I went from being so worried and overwhelmed but looking back this has been a very little learning curve. Id imagine that they are easier than ball pythons who need heat and humidity and many seem to have eating disorders. ( obviously not everyones ) ive learned how to read my snakes movements which is good for both of us. Like they can’t tell me they are hungry but by the way they move i can tell. I got bit a few times but i really didn’t feel it, just scared the heck outta me the 1st time. I would think i would rather get bit by my boa over a ball python.

Been bit by both…rosy boa bite is less painful…althO I dont think either is terrible… my spotted python is a butthole…she sucks…& getting bit by my Blood python…is No fun @ all…

My friend Jay Brewer got bit in the face by his big female Burmese, omg it was so bloody :joy: he said it was worse looking than it actually was but im like holy smokes. This was like in the 80s, he walked in his shop bc he thought id be funny to scare his wife :joy:. He probably played off how much it hurt tho.

That poor baby, he’s so precious! Part of me wants to volunteer to take him, but I don’t think I’m the best candidate, realistically speaking. I have zero experience with leos, and I live in a different part of the country (wouldn’t want to put him through the stress of shipping). But I’m glad he finally found his way to folks with the knowledge and compassion to give him a second chance, and I hope he finds a great forever home! He’s definitely a cutie. Sounds like a total sweetheart too.

I feel the same, i also follow lots of kitten pages and its hard not to want to save them all but realistically i can’t. It does kinda hurt my soul to see sweet animals suffering.
