I knew it I knew it I knew it! All those pics of deformed animals (that poor German shepherd pic was grotesque btw) had nothing to do with these sweet little creatures!
I have a great big smile on my face Dean and I bet you do too!!!

I AM very happy about it. I’ve appreciated your enthusiasm from the beginning, Caron.
Here’s the most recently ID’d Bantam. A Shatter male. Not very Bantamy yet, but it’s coming.
You are very welcome Dean! I just call’um as I see’um!
That’s a very good looking Bantam “in the works” Dean! His head is so sweet looking! I think you are out of the woods and on a roll now! I’m thrilled for you!
What a wonderful sight to see! I’m very happy for you, Dean. I’ll bet you’re walking on air. Very happy for the animals. Hopefully they will keep on growing and being normally healthy (they should, I’m not dissing lol). Congratulations!!
Thanks Caryl! Yeah, I’m happy, but it wasn’t surprising. I’ve been dealing with two seasons’ worth of them, and they’ve never given me a reason to worry. Because they all look “husky” but don’t feel squishy, I had some concern that there might be fat depositing around organs that wouldn’t be obvious to hand or eye, but it’s not the case.
Edit to add: they haven’t passed all obstacles though. Gotta reproduce.
So happy to see this!
I hope my initial concerns with short spine syndrome didn’t come off as criticizing you personally or invalidating your expertise as a keeper, it was just so shocking to see this new mutation and that was my first thought as an outside viewer.
So happy they are all healthy and well, and here’s fingers crossed for healthy breeding and egg laying too!
Thanks! No, I took no offense. Or if I did, I don’t remember. But nah, all concerns were valid.
One of my faves. Kinda regretting not stealing her from you when I had the chance!
Do you have a store on MM?
My goodness Dean…that snake is gorgeous
She didn’t seem as distinct when she first hatched. Your Miso seemed different.
Not yet. I need to set that up.
Thanks! She’s the only offspring from two clutches to be homo for every mutation her parents are expressing or carrying.
Obviously better pics than mine. These two ‘24 girls were sent to Mikelle at Serpentine Works. I thought the Miami Masque one was the highest expression Bantam in the clutch, but the Caramel weird-Stripe one looks stumpier right now. Both are gorgeous.
Two beauts Dean! Do you have a car lot or just sell out of your house? (Inside joke)
Hahaha. Yeah, they’re something!
You know I’m partial to Caramel stuff. I really like the pattern and color on that Caramel baby.
Me too. That one was hard to send away, but sending stuff to Mikelle and Olivia isn’t like sending them away never to be seen again.
The Miami Masque is my fave. But I would gladly take either one!!!
