Okay, so the thrashing you’re seeing is actually the baby trying to pip. Still don’t know if it will make it out of the egg, but I’m leaving it be for the night now and hopefully I’ll see a nose in the morning.
Oh that’s so precious! I do hope that little baby hatches and is healthy!
Is this the greenish egg? How way too adorable!
It is. Two of them are candling greenish, but this gives me hope that they’ll be okay!
Yes ma’am Olivia! Pictures tomorrow hopefully?
I hope so! And I think Reese is going to shed tonight too. He was being all active while I was feeding other snakes.
That’s my boy! I can’t wait till he gets here!
I want to see a nose too!
Yay! Love the noses!
I was going to ask how close they were to pipping, because the vein loss seems to be normal as they absorb the remaining yolk and the veins pull away from the inner shell membrane. The color they candle is influenced by the color of the baby inside.
Two of the sweetest little boops! And my sweet baby Reese is coming home to me next Tuesday! I can’t wait!!!
I can’t wait to see pictures!!
Lol! Ok! I asked for his little dots box too! Lol! I think he has a nick now: “Little dot”. lol
Kinda “corny” right? Lol!
Fresh shed from Reese “Little Dot”! I think he might be one of the red factor ones as well. He’s gotten big! A whopping 13.6 grams!
I love his head stamp!
Got him out once more to compare to Licorice and I feel pretty confident that Reese is indeed red factor. Browner saddles and the tiniest hint of pink in between the saddles. Here he is with Licorice (Reese on top, Licorice on bottom).
Awwwww. I can’t believe he is actually coming home to me Tuesday! He really had gotten big! My sweet “Little Dot”. And Red Factor too!
