Thanks Caryl! That’s one of the things I love about sunkissed is all the weird head patterns it can create.
Last baby from this clutch shed last night. Parsnip, cinder tessera!

Dang! She is gorgeous!
C’mon @lumpy Riley We both missed out on Fiero……
Yeah, I know. I would’ve taken him if I had the extra space. @caryl knows that for sure
I know! I was just kidding! There will be others down the road that will come along at just the perfect time! You and I both know that……
I know that you were kidding, just being honest lol .
There is a right time, to be sure. Taking to care of everybody is THE crucial thing. Which is why all you good people on this thread are so inspirational!
Three new sheds from the last clutch: Katana, Scythe, and Flail. All normals. Surprisingly these normals do not look Miami very much at all, despite being het cinder, especially when compared to the normals in the previous clutch, which are also het cinder.
This girl, Javelin, was thoughtful enough to give me a live demonstration of the function of all of her excretory organs. So glad to see everything is working correctly, but please do excuse the nastiness on my hands. She’s quite a red normal, very beautiful, but apparently did not want to be in photos.
And the first lava has shed, Shillelagh! He was not very cooperative either, but at least he was just wiggly.
Well of course that pretty red girl has to show you how her plumbing works just fine! Lol!
All coloring up wonderfully! Don’t you just love when they decide to use you as the toilet?
Little Turnip was a no I bet……
Haven’t tried that one yet. I think s/he’s scheduled for Monday? I have to check my schedule.
So, I got in contact with the breeder of Caldera, my lava who should be het sunkissed. She confirmed that the pairing that produced her was a lava x sunkissed pairing. But! The mother was paired the previous year to a different male who was not sunkissed, but otherwise had similar genetics. So I think this has to be a case of retained sperm.
So the last baby I tried to feed tonight was Burdock. It only took him 3 hours of sitting next to a cold, soggy pinkie to decide to eat it, but he did! Very exciting!
And fresh shed from Morningstar, male, likely lavamel. I’m about 95% sure he’s lavamel and not just amel. It’s hard to pick up in pictures, but his head has the translucency that I expect to see in lava. I really like this little guy. I really would prefer to keep a female, but I might need to keep him anyway!
