Yeah, easy to second guess your own actions. I keep trying to schedule my baby feeding attempts on days where I’m not feeding adults, so I can remove that potential factor for refusals.
Here’s Solo with a mouse belly! One more baby with a first meal safely down. I put a boiled pink in with each of the three holdouts late last night, closed the door, didn’t open it until morning. Scarlatti and Caruso still didn’t eat, so I’ll try lizard scenting in a couple of days. But three cheers for Solo!
Hip hip hooray for Mr. Solo for his clean plate! He has a cute little mouse lump! For now at least! Lol!
Solo! Solo! Solo! Yay! We are so happy for you!
Thanks, @caron and @lumpy. Solo appreciates your support! So do I.
And I’m very pleased to present another former holdout with a lump in his belly. I was feeding some others and Scarlatti looked like he might finally be hungry. I quietly put a pinky in his deli and went about other tasks. I returned to a wonderful sight!
(Please excuse the fuzzy pic. It’s just a quickie to share the joy! )
Woohoo! Almost got 'em all going now! Just need Caruso to get with the program next!
Caruso was still glaring today. He doesn’t trust me at all, lol. I didn’t put anything in there with him. I may try him in the early evening tonight. If not tonight, tomorrow.
Woo hoo way to go Scarlatti!
This is not a very good picture as the subject would not hold still, but it is a very good picture. Caruso has a full belly at last, despite himself. He continued to refuse so I took matters in hand. Took Caruso in hand, too. He objected, but eventually I convinced him to eat. Solo took a second meal today, too. He still wanted it boiled but ate immediately, which is good. So this whole clutch has now had a meal. Yay!!
Hooray! Full bellies are always a win.
Woo Hoo! Good babies! Good good babies! . (Guess Caruso knows who’s boss now! It’s THE LUNCH LADY!)
