I wanted to make a visual vpi kahl as well but not sure they are compatible. I have been looking for a visual for a few years with no luck. Only hear story talk or Het stuff.
Mega peaks box checked already. Unless, you are trying to make them connect. Great looking animals @tommccarthy
@tommccarthy not sure if low expression Brazilian or straight Peruvian. I am leaning towards Peruvian given count color/patern expressions. His size is leaning more Colombian as well. Not sure if geography allows peru and Brazil boas to mix but they do have slight similarities.
His name is Venom and purchased as an Anery1 66%het Kahl. Not sure he will prove Kahl or get the chance given my Son loves him and I dont have anything I want to pair him with for at least two or three seasons if that ever happens. By then he will be pushing 6 or 7. I guess it gives me plenty of time to think about it and convince my son first. Anyway, hope you enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think.
Love the peaks on those Tom. Beautiful!
I thought I read VPI and Kahl occupy the same allele, and that’s why we haven’t seen dual homozygous form. I might be wrong on that though? If not, it’d be cool to see for sure.
I know Kahl and VPI are not compatible. You won’t produce albinos when breeding two visuals together. But I don’t know what would happen if you have one that is visual VPI 100% het Kahl and the other one is a visual Kahl 100% het VPI. In time, I will find out.
I’m trying to make albino mega peaked that look like this one. If I can get them to connect, that would be great.
Adon87, your guy has me stumped. Look like 15 saddles to the vent. So there is BCC in him. I’m just not sure which one.
All my Northern Brazilian BCC, Southern Brazilian Amarali BCA, and Colombia BCC had fat arrow heads, not skinny / flat arrow heads. My motleys have the skinny/ flat heads.
Your guy does have a nice pattern, so that would be good to add to any project.
3 of my 4 “stubborns” have finally shed out at a month old. It was worth the wait. What i suspect will be the most colorful kahl is still holding out on me.
RC Pastel Kahl possibly a low expression jungle
I think this guy beats out Spoonman. Those colors are a trip in person and he looks pixelated with all grey speckling between saddles.
Low expression jungle. Great color and possibly a small amount of paradox on his noggin?
Matt, the best ones always make you wait.
My high red one made me wait 3 weeks longer than the rest of the other litter mates.
That RC Pastel albino is fantastic looking.
The other two are nice but I like spoonman the best.
Wow Tom! They all look great!
Is the one in pic #13 a suspected super? That tail looks fluorescent orange!
I was talking about having a double visual vpi Kahl. I have never seen one and not sure how the genetics work together. For example when those genetics are allelic like hypo motley or BWC and Sharp. If the Vpi Kahl exist under a different name or I am just looking in the wrong places.
Looking great Tom. That high pink boy is looking killer. I like that sunglow motley with the intact pattern as well.
Brian, yes, #13 is a possible super sunglow.
Adon87, I don’t know if there is another name for a visual VPI Kahl. At the next NARBC I am going to talk to a few of my breeder friends about it. And maybe see a visual one.
@flrt-dennis
Dennis Rosalie is very nice looking. Love her over all base color, widow peaks, head pattern, and burgundy tail color.
Pictures of the New Guy! Haven’t picked out a name yet. I haven’t picked out a name yet. I will take suggestions
.
Orangasm VPI Aztec Jungle het Anery
@eorr53 he is gorgeous boy….so excited to be able to watch the transformation and growth stages of VPI.
And the Aztec Jungle is a chefs kiss
Glad you like him, Riley! He is a good looking little dude.
As far as the name is concerned, my family called him Jeffrey. I think because his pattern reminded them of a giraffe. I always called him “Half-Squat” because he was so little when he arrived.
Congrats Riley! Awesome addition
She’s looking gorgeous man, love those colors
