Mine breed when they want although most start in autumn and I dont change temps.
I prefer to do it when they want so I get a couple of clutches 6 months before the others.
The point @armiyana makes is a good one. The low pressure during rain seems to help, with or without rain I find. However, I do spray to simulate rain and raise the humidity a bit.

Just one more point, sometimes even if the female is receptive they might not like the male. I had one male the female would not touch but she was happy with others. I now use more than one male due to this.
