Up to 9.2 pounds on the bathroom scale!
I can’t even comprehend how much it is when he goes to the bathroom
XL rats do tend to make a big mess! Lots of bedding changes. Im about to build him a new 6x4x2 wooden enclosure.
Clive is such a handsome, chonky boy, I always love seeing pictures of him (even if he is a butthead ). His colours are so vibrant and gorgeous!
And that’s why we have bio. Bugger that
It’s been too long again without any blood and STP love.
Here’s Poppy and Casteel today while they were getting clean tubs.
Your bloods are so beautiful!
Here are some recent pics of my normal girl, Mina. She’s getting so big, and her colours have gotten so bright! Sadly the camera washes her colours out, but I’ve found that they’re closer to being true to life when I use the flash.
I love her, and I love the she clearly believes she is hiding.
To be fair, in the top two pictures, I removed a piece of foliage to uncover her, but she totally thinks she’s hidden in the bottom pic. She used to fit under that fern, she just doesn’t seem to have noticed that she’s outgrown that hiding spot.
She refuses to use traditional hides, so I just put a layer of fake plants in her enclosure for her to hide under.
Resurrecting this thread to share Coralena, she finally got to me today.
Huge contrast to Poppy (a year older than Cora, photographed last week after a shed.)
Those are awesome!
Wow she is something
I really like the look of poppy. The burnt reds on a white cream is really contrasty
Just wait until you see the other one a year from now. The reason I love bloods so much is that they get better with age, every shed is almost like getting a brand new animal.
Just joined the short-tail gang this weekend! Picked up a Sumatran “Pumpkin Head.” She is super interesting! Very different than the other species I’ve worked with. Named her Susan.
LOVE the name - I need more space so I can pick up a couple of Sumatrans myself.
Here are some unusual offspring that I think might be a new morph. They do resemble some existing morphs but they are from normal-appearing Malaysian parents that are unrelated to any currently existing morph.
Those are really awesome!
