Conjoined Crestie (warning, graphic)

This baby just “hatched” today, but did not make it out of the egg. The sibling hatched last week, and this egg was not particularly larger, so I was surprised to see this for my first twin gecko.

This is interesting, another user, @ghoulishcresties had something similar happen.

Thanks for sharing! Whats interesting is that this one was so very close to splitting the zygotes completely. It looks like all the limbs were formed, arms are tucked very close together and under the side of the ribcage. The double eye is SO trippy.

Poor thing. I wonder if genetics have anything to do with it out of it really is just random.

Sorry this happened to you

These things happen unfortunately.

There was one not long ago also on fb someone sent. Alive and eating well too!

I guess it depends what organs are conjoined as to survival rate.

The parents for mine are Dread Gecko Roberts (“Dread”) and Darth Gecko (Female “Darth”). These are my husbands geckos, he’s unique with his names.

They have produced a number of healthy babies for two years.

I can’t see why, I love dark based Cresties and his dorsal is amazing too. I’m also a big fan of pinstripes.
