SMOKIN’ Arabesques y’all!
Come on @randall_turner_jr
Let’s make it official, post us a pic of one of yours!

We LOVE the Arabesques. They’ve always been a favorite. So glad to see everyone keeping it alive. We have an Arabesue in our Sharp group.
One Arabesque combo that’s really interesting is how Arabesque mixes with Aztec. We’ve got some plans there. Mwahahahahahaha.

Didn’t have any saved on my phone so grabbed a few off fb . I’m sure I’ve posted these all elsewhere on the forum but anyway.
Those are stunning Randall
@randall_turner_jr
Really nice!
Those don’t need any more jungle influence anyway!
It just stands right out!
Here’s our only Arabesque, Bean.
She’s a 2019 Sharp Arabesque.
We hope to breed her to our Sharp Aztec IMG next year.

Hi, all! This is Susan, the other 1/2 of VMB and the nerd that uses ALL (ok, WAYY to many) of the emojis
here on the forum.
@tommccarthy @randall_turner_jr … I am taking you up on your offer to help where you can and hope that is ok
.
The big question about the Jungle x Jungle plans we had (before this discussion popped up) is…
Are either of these Jungle? We acquired them and have them listed as possible Jungle and so therefore were going to prove them out, but see the above discussion…
.1 Anery Key West Possible Jungle
1. Ghost Motley Possible Jungle
(This one might not help with identification, but it sure is cute!
)
Any thoughts would be great! Let me know if I can get better/closer pictures to help.
(Also ps: speaking of Kingsnake… this sucker still holds our batteries in our utility hall closet!

)
It’s difficult to say but I’m not seeing Jungle in either one.
Cool. Thx so much @randall_turner_jr. That is what we were thinking… plus that isn’t necessarily a bad thing for our VMB strategy at this point. First we just want to make sure we are doing what is best for the animals
We value your feedback! Thx again!
One of many reasons why you both are top notch👍
Hi Susan, the other 1/2 of VMB
I don’t work with ghost boa so I am not sure if that combination of genetics messes with the pattern. I really don’t like the look of the ghost. Because it make the boas look like they are in shed all the time to me. I like bright colors and wild patterns on boas.
I would say your Anery Key West Possible Jungle is not a jungle. I just don’t see anything that says jungle to me in it.
Your Ghost Motley Possible Jungle maybe a jungle. There is just something about the pattern that says jungle to me. I would sell it as a possible jungle if I had it. So you may want to prove it out first.
Here are some old pictures of baby albino motley jungles and sunglow motley jungles to help you see what they look like. Then you can compare them to yours.
Take care
Tom
And of course i have to put a few pictures of Riley’s sunglow motley jungle. Hopefully he will add a few new ones.
They all just glow Tom. I cant wait to get one for my collection one day. I should probably go ahead and get my prescription sunglasses before hand though👍
Thank you so much for this input. We agree.

I think this will be the plan! Yay!

Thank you for these; we will definitely be taking some closer looks over the weekend.

@lumpy yes pls! ![]()
Thanks again, guys! We appreciate the feedback!
Lol
, she is still yet to shed. Once she does I am sure I will grab some.
There are/we’re somd beautiful Super Jingles on MM now or recently. I seriously wanted one. Idk about Arabesque, but Jungle is one of my favorite non-locality morphs. The Super seems to have been erroneously thought iffy at first from excessive in breeding (possibly, this is what I’ve read/heard from long time people) then possibly fine health wise but infertile. Now there are numerous people who claim to breed Super Jungles and have zero issues with them.
Aside from the ones on MM recently, I know Brian from Brian Boas did a Marron Jungle x Marron Jungle pairing and got 1 or 2 Super Jungles, no stillborns iirc. But he is the one who mentioned they may just be infertile. For how beautiful they are, I’ve seen them quite inexpensive, probably due to the stigma.
I’d love to get one and report back over a few years or something. I seriously love Jungle in all forms really, especially with a redder tail (BCC cross or a rusty/brick red Colombian tail with jungle adds so much beauty, abberance and blushing undertones. So cool!)
Jungle has been around for 15+ years but no one to record has a 15+ year old super jungle or even close.
As mentioned in this post, ones that do sell go as pets but its unfortunate still for me to see people breed jungle to jungle when many people even these days have mentioned longevity issues. Being Infertile is just one of many problems morphs can have. Super motleys are also 99% infertle yet people have gotten them to breed yet people still take on super motleys with a " maybe this will be the one that goes the distance" mentalities despite the warnings. People also have scammed people by selling them defunct morphs after they get passed around.
I just feel there should be more mortality to breeding. It takes less effort to not pair two snakes than it ever does breeding the boas. Youve got 4 years to think of a male for that female. We are already cheating nature by adding these crazy colors and patterns, I dont like the idea of then adding more issues to that already as its the animals that suffer at the end of the day.
