My gosh! Glad you, your family, and little Draco are okay for now, and sending you prayers to make sure whatever is plauging you, and pretty much everybody goes away! I just lost two of my pets pretty recently so I’m feeling down too, but God always has our back, even in the worst times!

I won’t bore you with my woes the last few months but since losing my heart cat in August it has been just one thing after another. I know exactly how you feel.
As @caron said just a couple days ago your grief is our grief, and our strength is your strength.
We are with you

Honestly I might see if a few botany classes might let me sit in, plants are so interesting and I get none of that in my current courses! Would be a nice break from being focused on the brain 100% of the time :tulip: :seedling: :blossom:

@ghsaltie and @gottobehoggies You are both sweet ladies and it makes my heart smile to hear of your faith in The Lord. But I am sorry for the grief in both of your lives.

At my age I have had enough that I’m numb to most of it except losing my animals. I will always grieve over that.

Little Draaken says Hi sweet lady!:snake: Be safe little Draco!:snake:

Gosh! I’m glad that you and yours are safe, @ghsaltie ! That’s quite a startling thing to have happen!

@caron hi sweet Draaken! Do you have any new pictures?

We got to our destination without any further issue. The brake is still missing a bolt but we should be able to pick it up tomorrow. Have the whole weekend to hang with the fam until worrying about the trip home

Completely off topic because there are no egg updates to be had soooo… meet Luna!

Somehow we have been coerced into taking this shy girl home. Well, I only took 2 minutes of convincing my husband took 2 days 😅. I won’t go into all the details but essentially she needed a new home, and we are capable of offering that. I don’t know if she will stay with us long term simply because our three resident cats are weird about new animals, but we can at least offer her a soft place to stay short term until finding her a perfect home. Right now the only thing I know about her is her name and she’s at least twelve. She spent most of her life in Alaska, then the last few years in Ohio and now she is coming back to Georgia with us tomorrow.

Awwwww she’s lovely Erin! God bless you for taking her in. I’m sure she will thrive with your family!:cat2::house_with_garden:

She is sooo sweet. Spent most of last night curled up against my back purring. She has the cutest old lady croaking meow

She looks like such a sweetheart! Good on you for giving her a soft place to land.

Just over four hours from home. Looks like the tomato cultivar clutch (did I use that correctly ) is going to wait for me to get home before pipping :hugs:

It’s almost time for some little cherry tomatoes to hatch! This is pretty exciting, as it always is when eggs hatch!

Got home a little bit ago. Luna cat was amazing for the eleven hour trip. Never seen a cat travel so well. She is cozy in her room for the night.

My beautiful tomato has quadrupled in size

I think whichever baby comes out the chunkiest I’m going to name beefsteak, in honor of my first beefsteak tomato. No idea if that is a cultivarey term but seems fitting. Come on babies :crossed_fingers:

Well missy I’m so glad you guys are safely home! Your sweet Luna girl looks nice and settled in! I don’t know anything about the tomato “cutlery” :joy: names but my daddy used to raise beefsteak maters as big as a dinner plate so Beefsteak it is! And boy were they good! Raised in good ole KY soil 60 years ago! Bittersweet memories!

That sounds amazing! I’ve actually never liked tomatoes, but I’ve never tasted homegrown beefsteaks either. I’m hoping my palate will take a liking to these because the pictures I’ve seen look so good.
Anytime we make the trip to OH we like to go up through the virginias and then come back by way of Kentucky and Tennessee. Goodness I forget how beautiful those two states are.

Homegrown tomatoes are a different animal; if you can get em to grow, cherry tomatoes are straight up addictive when eaten right off the vine! Best eating tomato out there imo.

Glad Luna’s settling in and you made it home for the eggs!
