Draaken Cove 2026 Breeding Season

Look at that bevy of colors! Looks like a Russel Stover assortment! There not a one in there that I would turn down Erin! And little Draaken is growing up! He ate his first hopper today! I’m so proud of him!:+1::snake::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

As soon as I place an official hold I will spill the beans!!!

Baby piles are the best. I know snakes don’t cuddle like mammals do per se, but it’s sweet to think they might find some sense of security in one another’s presence at this age.

I didn’t check the thread and this happens?! I got to say I love hoggies, but the fact that they’re so dramatic and sassy puts me off slightly, still might get one in the future though!

They are not all sassy and dramatic. My first hognose Draco, who I posted a little bit farther up thread, is the sweetest most perfect angel. I call him my wanna be ball python because he will just curl up in my hand or lap and chill. But I also know he is the exception.
My hogs’ personalities range from sweet angel to absolutely hates my guts. Most of them are in the middle average, active and might give me a little psshh on pick up but then content to hang out and explore.
I try my best to familiarize myself with my babies every year so I can match their personalities to what my buyers are looking for. I’ve found it can sometimes take up to a year or so for an individual to settle down but their natural personality is usually still noticeable along the way.

I was going to get the individual pics edited and posted tonight but I am tired so that will be tomorrow. For now I’ll add another baby pile.

There is a biggest baby and therefore Beefsteak! It’s a girl! The other eight are unnamed as of yet.

I can’t decide which one is my favorite. They’re all so cute!

They are all adorable! I was a little bit bummed when so many popped out “normal” but then I started holding them and taking in their different patterns. Each one of them are unique and beautiful.

What were the morphs of the parents again?

Mom is a red line conda het snow and dad is het snow. One or both of them also carry cinnamon despite not showing any characteristics.

First official baby pics are here! There are four girls, three boys and two I’m still unsure on but leaning girls. Aside from the Snow conda, naturally, my favorites are Beefsteak and #59. I feel like Beefsteak is going to develop a lot of red as she grows and she has a really cool sloping head stamp. 59 has a crisp clean background and I find him visually pleasing to look at.

Now to give the other eight names!

You could name the smallest one Cherry Tomato or just Cherry.

Well for the boys you can use these names:

Better Boy
Big Boy

For a girl you can use:

Early Girl

That’s all that comes to mind right now…

The littlest one is 53 the male conda. He can be Cherry!

Ya gotta add a grape in there somewhere!

I like Early, trying to determine who best to use it for

I’m summoning @cmills for all the plant expertise

The name of the tomatoes I’m growing is an heirloom called Alice’s Dream. I’m thinking of ways to play on that for the snows name….

Some heirloom tomato varities have super fun names!!

Brandywine would be amazing, and Boxcar Willie makes me laugh :joy:

I love this! Brandywine plays right into my love for lord of the rings and boxcar is just downright hilarious so both of those are being used!
