Me too!! In fact, often mine are not very good ones. If my phone is ever stolen, the theif will likely be stunned by the enormous number of snake pics!

I love handling mine, indoors or out. I really love going outside with them when the weather is decent. And I thoroughly enjoy watching them explore. Oh, and I love watching them just hanging out in their favorite spot. Yes, I’m officially hooked.

Color me weird but I like cleaning/inspection day when I handle every single one of my animals. I get pleasure in knowing that my guys are healthy and thriving. I also get pleasure when I make their enclosures nice and clean for them to live in. I enjoy talking to to them when I’m cleaning as well. :broom: I’m sure my husband has officially written me off as looney tunes but at least he hasn’t called the men in white coats yet! :joy:

Well said, my friend. Go ahead and color me weird, too, then. I don’t enjoy poop for the sake of poop, but I do enjoy all the rest of what you’ve written so well. And heck yeah, I talk to all of them! That goes without… okay, goes very much with saying. My hubby blames my habit of talking to absolutely all creatures and plants and tech and random other things in my being an only child. :upside_down_face: Dunno if he’s right, but at least he doesn’t think I’m cray cray on that count.

Well there you go! I was as good as an only child as my sister was 20 years older than me (yes same marriage for my parents). Added to that, my husband is NOT a talker so I often find myself talking to myself!:joy::tired_face::joy::tired_face:

For me its interacting with my boas, especially outside time and taking photos. A bonus is if anyone is around to educate them on how awesome boas truly are.

@flrt-dennis , I’ve gotten a good number of people to lose their fear of snakes! That’s certainly my favorite part of having a snake.

Lol, your husband might be onto something, because I also do this and was/am an only child. I also talk to myself a lot. Always makes for a bit of an awkward adjustment whenever I’ve had a new office mate or housemate. :joy:

I like handling and feeding and keeping clean enclosures but I also like to take my Boa outside for some sun and handling and I also like to let her stretch her non existent legs in the grass on nice days that aren’t too hot and let her roam around

For sure handling and hanging out watching her explore

I like to go outside when it is warm and show them to people. I like to give them kisses and if I’m lucky, sometimes I’ll get chosen and become the brand new cozy spot to sleep or fun thing to sniff. I also like getting them upgrades. I also like watching tv in bed with them.

Forgot to mention always being on the prowl for nice branches and rocks for them

Sometimes I’ll be out walking and see a pile of yard waste and think “who’s throwing away all this enclosure decor?”

I realize that not everyone is a fan of tarantulas but I like to watch my Ts drink from the water droplets on the sides of their enclosures after a good misting!

Holding them, hands down; but I’m with everyone who said cleaning enclosures, fluffing their bedding, giving them a once over to make sure they’re thriving, and recording all their important milestones. I love it all.

Except photos. I’m so picky about whether the photos look good (they never do), that I keep putting it off forever. That said, I still do that “chore” often enough that anyone who steals my phone will most certainly wonder why I have more photos of my snakes than my kids.:woman_facepalming:
