Thank you! I seem to be in a constant cycle of sheds now. One perk of having more snakes is while some are shedding there’s others to handle, and then you always have fresh pretty sneks. Hah
Me too! Love seeing a variety of snakes, and it’s not as congested as the boa thread. I wasn’t able to make it to the bottom from the last time I was reading it. 
That’s a sick looking Honduran @caron!! So reeeed. Sorry he decided to pick up on the defensive behavior. 
Hopefully he calms down again soon.

Dayum, hypo lab dh blood and VPI is a helluva combo!!! I like the look of the other hypo lab more but dang I can’t wait to see when someone produces labs in VPI blood!

Genuinely so happy this thread took off. Love seeing all these gorgeous animals in fresh scales!
Mr Strudel decided to give another shed, so despite his shyness we took a few glamour shots!
Little guy looking so handsome, love the white coming in as well as how nice his yellows are keeping! Still uncertain if he’s visual or het ghost though, I’ll likely try to keep his next shed for an RGI test.

I think so too, but just not 100% sure. Either way I’ll find out, thinking on it an RGI test really wont be necessary since I plan to pair him to a female from this years clutch - all will be het ghost, so I should be able to tell if he’s visual based on the ratio of ghost vs non-ghost babies when he’s paired. Wanting to make GHI mojave ghost combos, pewter and sugar/calico would be fun to add in! It’ll be years before I see the results, but excited non-the-less!

My goodness, he is so so so pretty. The subtle darks on his sides with that flash like tarnished gold – I hope he knows how gorgeous he is. (And congrats on the shed victory! may he have only perfect sheds from here on~)

For some reason he reminds me of vanilla pudding or lemon meringue pie! But we’ll keep the name Strudel! You have some really lovely animals Elijah!

I think a lot of the issue was just his quarantine tub. I had him on paper for it. He was in a different part of the house and the humidity is a little different there. So now that I have him in a different tub, different space and different substrate he’s gonna do well. Just sucks for the temporary time he had.

I wasn’t totally sure haha retic morphs are not my forte. Snakes sure do have interesting idiosyncrasies. Haha Glad to hear the changes have made a positive impact on him! I would be loathe to not take him out any chance I got because of some stray nips.

He’s not difficult to get out thankfully. He does seem to have a short temper before being done with handling. Hoping to break him out of it as he gets older but we’ll see. He may just be one of the spicy but beautiful animals with a showcase enclosure. XD;
A 2yo gal I have is still always up for a meal. So she’s pretty good to come out, but then decides to try taking bites just to be sure food isn’t involved. She’s sneaky about it too so I end up with more pinpricks now because of her. She’s in a growth spurt so I don’t blame her atm.

How cool! She looks so different from her sister Amite, who shed Monday. Funny that they’re considered the same morph, Plasma.
Got three other shedders here. Here is the lovely Ingrid, a Caramel Ghost Stripe. She’s a very light version of the morph. And she is absolutely a total sweetheart!
Fortunato, who’s Anery Cube Stripe although his markings barely show now. He’s got all kinds of handsome tints and glints and metallic tones. His cubes are much harder to see now than when he was a baby.

I remember when Fortunato hatched! He looks equally fantastic now! Bexli shows more lavender hues in different lighting. I need to get some better pics outside tomorrow morning. Maybe at first light when it’s only 85 degrees!

Summer is not my favorite season. I don’t enjoy the heat!
It’s super hard to catch those lavender tints. Bexli and Amite were different colors when they hatched, too. I love seeing the individual differences. Ingrid, for example, is much much lighter than any other Caramel Ghost Stripe female I’ve hatched. She’s lighter than several of the males, including her sire. She looks more like her maternal grandsire. Her yellow sides are brighter, her eyes are more blue-silver. She is different enough that, despite repeated candling and popping and scale counting, I paid to get her sex confirmed via shed testing.
TLDR: individual variation is fascinating!
