Really love those grey corns. They look like living sculptures! :heart_eyes:

I didn’t realize they came in red! He’s a handsome little worm, will he keep that pattern into adulthood then?

Awesome, sounds like a solid plan! And yes sometimes they get a lanky phase if they’re in a growth spurt, too, then pack on weight again before repeating.

A big problem I face as well, especially in evening light or deep shade. The reddish walls of the cabin really seems to help balance that out, but if I’m not careful it makes the pics too red if there’s too much sun. I sorta tried to figure out a light box, but it’s a very new concept and the pics I took made the snakes unidentifiable from their true look. Idk if the Canon I have now pics up color differently than the previous model I had, or it’s just a lot more sunny in SC than NC. lol But I don’t feel like I used to struggle this much with lighting before. :joy:

Yay! Congrats on the fresh skins! Really loving those ghosts. I can just imagine the hypos’ changes, my partner’s gopher/bull (I’m not educated on the differences) is a hypo morph. He’s a handsome lad, very picky eater and an old man with cataracts. But he’s a very pretty little guy.

Hey there we go!!!

Omg snow is so pretty in every species it pops up in.

Happy birthday to the old man! You picked up that iridescence well. :grin:

Aww that’s sweet! Yes I still have a couple of snakes I got back nearer the beginning of my keeping days. Been through a lot with them as well. Fingers crossed for the sentimental babies when you try!

Nibble is handsome! Like a noodle of carved granite. How’d he earn that name? :rofl:

Holy smokes! :hot_face::face_exhaling:

He was from a Bantam clutch with a “small amounts” theme. So there was Nibble and Pinch and Dram and Smidgen, etc. :slight_smile:

Ah I see! Rat breeders do a lot of theme names for their litters, I don’t see reptile people do that as much! A neat idea for sure. I couldn’t be one of the ones that don’t name all their animals. :sweat_smile:

Yeah, mine are named before they even hatch! Occasionally a name will be so bad that I have to change it if I decide to keep the snake.

Actually he will be a glossy black adult! But he’s definitely pretty as a baby! Thank you @ccboas cc!

Ok I’m drooling now Eric! :joy:

This girl has been hidin in my back pocket, but she shed not long ago and I realized I didnt have any pictures of her so that needed to be fixed! This is Wiccan, or “Wix” for short. Got her alongside Ororo from a breeder that was getting out of the hobby, and she’s a neat one IMO!

AFAIK she’s just a pied, but is sporting a really cool starkly Axanthic paradox band about half way down her body. She also has multiple smilies, though this is her best one;

And she also has this super interesting “chin strap” that I’m not sure of it’s uniqueness, but I have never seen it on another BP like this before.

It’s not scale-rot (like someone on reddit suggested :roll_eyes: ), it’s just how her pattern reaches along her neck and under her throat/chin. She’s really an interesting little gal, and I can’t wait to put her with Riot next season!

Jethro is such a handsome older gentleman! I hope you get another decade with him. And I hope you keep sharing him with us!

Wix is a very interesting pretty lady Elijah! Don’t hide her in your pocket anymore! Hear me?! :blush:

What an interesting pattern she has! The white nether portions of her body almost make it look like she’s coiled around a completely different animal! Her “chin strap” is cute, too. I always enjoy noting the little things which make an individual unique.

Wix being Paradox and Pied at the same time is really cool, especially with such a contrasting Paradox spot.

No clue what’s going on with the chin pattern but thats really neat looking too :slight_smile:

Me too! Nibble is yummy. :heart: :blue_heart:

Seems like an excellent name for at least one of your gorgeous babies! Concur!

Haha I totally concur! I realize that they usually get a new name if they go to a new home, but I name them while they’re here. I have several themes for different morphs and certain bloodlines. I was worried I’d run out but that hasn’t become a problem yet!

Yeeeah, I’m a bit gooey when it comes to my pets lol. Something about just having a consistent companion for so long really gets you in the heart, you know? I really hope he’s successful, though I’ll need to make sure Anri gets some good growth before I attempt the pair - he’s a pretty big boy! Hopefully his age doesn’t lead to a poor litter either. Not sure how long males generally are suitable for breeding and even though he’s only middle-aged, it’s still a few years before Anri will be ready at minimum!

Thank you! He does indeed seem to be aging well, and has plenty of energy to spare - the pics may not show it, but I was having to wrangle him while the birds in the nearby trees were having a meltdown lmao! :joy: I’ll definitely continue to share him with you all.

Lol I’ll try not to! I assure you it wasn’t intentional, I got her in December and she took a few meals for me before being rather finicky about food and did a hands-off approach outside of what was necessary to get her back on a good feeding schedule. Hopefully she stays on it!

Gotta love that about pieds! I really loved it when she went full donut, super cute. And I thought it was interesting too, can’t help but wonder if anyone else’s bps have one as well?

I thought so too! Very distinguishable as a paradox spot and not one of those where it’s listed as paradox but you look and think “where??” It’s crazy how desaturated it is with color, almost looks bluish by contrast to her warm yellow/brown tones!

The chin patterning was interesting to me too, I can’t help but wonder if anyone else has seen this with their ball pythons? She’s my only visual pied, maybe it’s a pied thing? :thinking:

This little boy is the first out of 3 in his clutch to shed and eat. He’s really pretty, but I think I’ll hold back on morph ID until I get his daddy’s shed test results :face_with_hand_over_mouth: At the very least I know for sure he is Lesser.

He’s got a really grainy appearance to his alienheads unlike his 2 siblings, and comparingto other Lessers that have very smooth rounded alienheads :thinking:

He’s a little cutie Christina! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::snake:

A little stunner for sure!! What a gorgeous little guy, awesome that he ate for you already! Fingers crossed the other two follow suit, I can’t wait to see them as well!
