So this clutch threw me for a loop.
Dad is for sure no question Fire Pastel Clown.
Mom is supposed to be a Bamboo/ Lesser 100% pastel and she is a pure white snake. Other genes at play could be fire calico and banana said the breeder whom I am unable to contact anymore.
Baby number 1 NO CLUE but 2, 3, and 4 I have pretty good idea. I don’t want to contaminate the conversation with what I think but what is listed above is what is supposed to be BUT after looking at the kids I think Mom is not what she was sold as. Oh this is moms first clutch and has never been with any other male.

Baby 2

I’m not an expert in this, by any means, but looks like maybe the female had GHI in her. Can anyone else chime in on this?

I 100% agree with you on that one which means mom is a big old fat question mark as far as genetics goes.

One of the downsides to bels, I suppose. You can black light them and get a good idea of what pattern morphs they are carrying, but it can still be hard to tell. Bright side, she produced some beautiful little offspring. Haha.

First, I don’t see any Bamboo and it should be 50/50 on average. I see lesser but I also think one of the GHIs is Mojave. SO my guess is your BEL was Lesser Mojave GHI. Since there appears to be no Bamboo, perhaps he just sold you or sent you the wrong BEL. Beautiful animals just the same and if you still want to add Bamboo to your collection, they have probably come down considerably in price since you purchased her.

Yes some of my other local breeder friends think Mojave as well but it hurts after 4 years to find out this way but these little guys are still pretty cool and het Clown which I need more than Bamboo.
I was thinking the same thing for baby 2 and 4. Im trying to get better at IDing though, i couldnt say what they all have as total genes, but if i didnt know genetics, thats what i would think seeing those two. (That they at least had GHI)

So this is my take. Baby 1 is a Killer GHI lesser fire. Baby 2 is a GHI Lesser fire 3 is a Firefly lesser baby 4 GHI Mystic/Mojave fire. My intent is someone might have produced similar snakes and could point me in the right direction. I have looked at hundreds of posted pictures and haven’t seen anything remotely close to baby 1.
So let me revise my statement and say besides the Mojave Lesser GHI, it does appear to have Leopard as well. If you look at some Lesser leopard Firefly het clown, you’ll see the similarity. I couldn’t find one with GHI. That could also account for the dorsal striping on the #4 lesser.
