Jumping Cresties

Further to a discussion on a different thread, I decided to make this one.

Do any of you have any awesome pics of your Crestie jumping?

I tried the other day and this was the best I got! I had help from my 2 sons, which probably made it harder lol But I’m not giving up

This is exactly why I decided I want to take pictures of them jumping.

It looks like they are jumping as though their lives depend on it.

I haven’t been well recently but I’m planning to get more pics as soon as I can.

Omg :joy:
To be fair I did laugh at him after I got the pics, you don’t realise how funny the look until after
He’s one of the jumpiest I own so knew he’d be best, just gotta touch his bum and he’s off like it’s life depends, thing is he doesn’t care where either. He actually missed the ladder when getting one of those and fell onto a plant below the Wally :woman_facepalming:t2::sweat_smile:

I have a Crestie like that, he looks one way and jumps another

Love the pics, although I hate the jumping! Wish my crestie would just chill on my hand instead of taking a flying leap. I always hold her while sitting on my bed so at least she can land on a soft blanket and not the hard floor.

Some Cresties are just born jumpers, I’ve got one Crestie that barely jumps at all and others that LOVE to jump.

I love the thump sound, I got a video of a Crestie doing a feeble jump and landed on the vase instead of the plant thump

I was taking one to her new home the other day. She got out the tub and jumped on my Nans face! She wanted to come along for the journey and got jumped by a Crestie. Luckily she loves them then just ended up stroking her telling her she’s pretty :joy:
I don’t think the jumping is that bad, I’m used to it and my reflexes when they jump have become insane, I manage to catch them a lot now
Even the babies fly! That’s fun :woman_facepalming:t2::rofl:

To be fair my first ever Crestie Kaneki, will sit on my shoulder whilst I walk around doing other things and I’ll often forget he’s there :joy:
Same with a few others, it’s bloody Beast Boy who’s a pain, also Penny out phantom quad and Cherry out lilywhite. Both a bit mad too :woman_facepalming:t2:

The babies scare me sometimes, but usually I have no problems, my 6 year old finds some of them okay to handle too (supervised of course).

I’m use to the signs and the Cresties are use to me so as long as they have somewhere to aim for then they are usually pretty good.

Except Coco  his my crazy gecko

Oh one jumped from to the floor yesterday. 5 days old and decided to do that :woman_facepalming:t2:
It’s fine thankfully, they always are!
My 6 year old gets them out herself usually, though she did try get Beast Boy out the other day, couldn’t catch him so I had to for her :joy: Then he was just flying everywhere, she’s quick and grabs them quickly haha. It’s all fun until one gets behind the vivs!! :weary:

I set a rule, no opening the enclosures without permission and me present or he will lose a game (or something) and my 3 year old had no clue yet lol will be purchasing locks if he ever shows interest

Oh that’s fair enough!
Our outhouse was converted into a reptile room so she doesn’t go out unless we’re in there, then just helps herself
She usually goes for the girls, and usually Pumpkin first! Which is why she’s going in her room eventually

Snakes are in our cabin so boys can’t get to them without one of us in there but the Cresties are in our conservatory where I can watch them  or should I say they can watch us!

Pumpkin is an awesome Crestie :lizard:

Oh gosh yeah keep away from the snakes!
She knows not to get Hideyoshi out herself! We get him out and then she can hold. He’s never once bitten, but I know when he’s hungry etc, she doesn’t, so I couldn’t imagine if he struck her :confounded:
She’s asked to feed him multiple times though :woman_facepalming:t2::sweat_smile:
Yeah I swear they’re weird like that, we were in there the other day and I turn around to a baby starting out. Creepy little thing :joy:

She’s cute, she was quite slim and tiny when she came here but gained weight nicely, turns out she prefers company. When on her own she was scatty and wouldn’t eat properly, added her into a female viv and she was a different gecko! Calm and chill, eats like a machine too! So hoping to rescue another gecko at some point so they can both be together, which is why I’m waiting on moving her.

My eldest often helps hubby feed the snakes, he helps me mist them too.
He loves taking pics of the Reptiles.

I think my Crestie Strawberry might want company, she doesn’t eat well and it’s all I can think of that I haven’t tried, she loves a cuddle. But the only other Crestie I have if the female that had just started eating like crazy so I don’t want to move her. I’m hoping to get her a friend and a potential breeder all in one, but of not then I will consider the 2 together
