Yes microscaleless are awesome !! She arrived 14 grams at 9 months old with solidified poo inside of her . Which I had about 10 days of relentless baths and massages to break down safely and remove . Now her lower intestines are stretched out so she can’t pass whole poo in one go so it’s first she try to poo and then a bath where she bending heavily and push out the rest . My scaleless baby in 7 months old is 36 grams and eats 5-7 gram mice while the microscaleless girl barely eats 3-4 gram mice with back legs and tail removed . But I had the scaleless girl since her 5 th mice and fed her as i thought fit so she is large and exercised well while someone probably kept microscaleless girl on maintenance diet of one pinky a 10 days or so so she don’t die .
Yes second clutch is a wonder ! I didn’t even saw her being pregnant 3 good eggs from which one is stalled for some reason and 6 not calcified but alive eggs , currently in day 18 . And Lakshmi’s first clutch is on day 65 , I suspect twins on one egg . Still all the eggs are pearly white , fully inflated and show no signs of peeps! Also I completely eliminated mold on one egg window . Expect them to hatch at Wednesday when heat wave is gone and thunderstorms arrive
So here is some pictures microscaleless Pingala at walk , scaleless Adira (she is 7 months old ) and Lakshmi at walk . I saw in one eye she developed some pink on the iris in right under the pupil . Left eye , is visible in the photo . Some bleeding but how ? Also interestingly ,’on her face on that gray/ brown splotch she now has red dots that weren’t been here a year ago . She is as lovely as ever , currently ate her large mice . We have 37C here so I turned down all the heaters coz it’s 28.6 in the enclosures without any additional heat . Fan running in full speed . Thanks to insulation around incubator , the temp there is 28.2 which is ok . Tomorrow will be hellish hot and Tuesday too . Hope babies will emerge at Wednesday, day 68 , perfect time for coming out into the world !
I don’t think that’s from bleeding. More likely it’s just a Palmetto freckle. Nothing wrong with keeping an eye on it (no pun intended) but I expect it is normal pigment.

I’m incubating at 27.4-27.7 C , not F !! it ages about a week to the incubation term but I think it’s safer after doing an extensive research about the damage of high temperatures.
Oh I just can’t wait for the pips !!! Growing impatient with each day and worry that the longer they sit the more they invite trouble - comparing it with human baby where overstaying in the belly is dangerous .but I’m ready for any complication , a whole set of surgical tools for cutting the egg and in case of drowning the set for aspiration of fluid is at standby in my special sterilized metal box plus a former ICU doctor lives next door I already calculated how many palmetto I have in the clutch . It’s 6 out of 12 and I suspect there’s twins in one egg , If it turns out true then 7 palmetto babies . They are clearly visible when candling , compared to normal het palmetto babies whose eggs looks dark from inside, palmetto eggs glow like lightbulb with just organs visible in the bottom
I will keep my eye on her eye hahaha that splotch on her eye is pink and I have never seen a snake with pink eyes . Apart from that small discoloration , the eye itself looks normal , no redness or signs of infection. To me it looks like a small capillary bleeding . As long as it stays like that and not worsen , it’s ok
It’s very hard to wait as the time gets closer! I can mostly ignore eggs for most of incubation. After about Day 55 I find that the time begins to drag.
That’s a whole lot of stuff! Should you need to cut an egg (I very rarely do this), all you really need is a light and sterile cuticle scissors or other small scissors with tips which curve so that you can prevent cutting the embryo. I can’t imagine a scenario in which I would attempt aspiration at home of a neonatal corn snake. I really don’t recommend you try that.
Your snake’s eye looks normal to me. I’ll see if I can find an image of the eye of one if the Palmettos I had. It had a similar color fleck. They often have freckles of red or orange in their eye.
I have small angled surgical scissors with a sphere on the tip of the lower blade . The closest herpetologists is in different town and local vets have no experience with snakes . So if neonate drowned but still alive it’s either I watch him die or do it myself . And i won’t let it die . 4 eggs got slightly softer . Day 67 today . Twins in one egg sit in separate corners with just some of their organs overlapping. I expect them to start hatching tonight or tomorrow .
My girl Lakshmi , al I know is her both parents are visual palmetto and the father of the clutch Madhav - he is normal het palmetto het caramel . That’s all I know . But to me that baby looks gray dotted .
Palmettos take time to develop color. Most look white/grey only when they hatch. Give them time to shed a few times and you’ll see color coming in if they’re not anery.

It is very difficult to tell from the photo but I think that dark baby appears to be Caramel rather than Anery. Young Caremels can be very dark indeed. If it is Caramel, you will probably see brown tones in the saddles. It’s easiest to see near the neck and along the edge of the snake’s sides where the saddles meet the belly. Neonate Aneries have saddles which are truly black.

I spoke with a friend who gave me the father of the clutch , he produced caramel at her house. Means my girl het caramel which I didn’t know . I hoped for same like her and maybe anery but well , caramel is also cool ! I took video for her and now I saw tooth haha that palmetto head in the middle of the normal baby coil . Wow !
