The pink toe looks like it had colored bands around its abdomen. Is that common in a pink toe? I know there are several different kinds of pink toes…….

As slings, purple pink toes are a sort of blue-green colour with white stripes on their abdomen. Astor still has her stripes, but is starting to get just a hint of a purple shimmer to her. As adults, they’re a beautiful metallic purple…with black toes. The “pink toe” in the name is a bit misleading, and I assume is just because it’s in the Avicularia (pink toe) genus.

I bought a Psalmopoeus Reduncus yesterday and it’s huge. I haven’t moved it to it’s enclosure yet but I will hopefully get to do it tomorrow.

I have a new 8-legged friend! I found this girl in the door of a van at work. I’m pretty sure she’s a juvenile brown widow. Meet Salome! Not great pictures, but she’s a lovely girl.

Finally saw my halloween moon crab Freddy after months of not seeing him!! He just stood there scared for a minute then hurried off to his burrow. He’s quite covered in sand because it looks like he just came out of the water lol. He is a bit pale which worries me a bit but i assume he’s doing fine because he has been eating, i just haven’t see him. He also has all his legs now which is an improvement since he was missing some when i got him!

Could he have been molting?

Yeah i’m pretty sure he was molting, maybe even more than once because he had to fully regrow his legs.
