I bet he was loving the sunshine!
I have decided to name this guy Maize. He was looking good when I was cleaning today. If I ever get him a girlfriend I will call her Selu.
Beautiful. In the old days they called it a Sunglow Amel when there was no white on the top and sides. Especially an Amel Motley. One of the best looking morphs in blue too. ![]()
Isn’t Maize another word for corn
back in the Pilgrim days???
That one “a maize ing” looking corn snake Tom! ![]()
Hey now, this is getting rather corny…

Oh my Elijah! You are catchin on! Move over @caryl! You’ve got competition! ![]()

You crack me up, @caron
Looking great, Tom! It’d be hard to find another girl as nice. I love his borderlessness. It’s so cool to see in a corn.
Figure it’s time to debut this guy - recently came into posession of a six-lot of sibling corns, in which this little fella is definitely one of if not my favorite;
I’ve named him Mercury, he’s a Miami Motley het Diffused, probable het Cinder (shoutout to @deanaii for helping with the morph IDs!). Really love how clean his grey background is and the way it bleeds through his saddles. Cannot wait to see how he colors up as he grows!
Yeah, I love the ground color “frosting” in the pattern.
It’s present in all of them to some degree, but his is definitely the most intense! Looking at his parents, I suspect it’ll just get better with age. ![]()
He definitely is a pretty little guy Elijah! I can see why would easily be a favorite
. I like the name too! Wasn’t there a singer named Freddy Mercury years ago? And of course Mercury records! But I digress! Again!!! ![]()

He looks quite curious too! ![]()
Indeed, there was the late and great Freddy Mercury, though I more named my guy after the element due to his silvery coloration. And he is definitely a curious little bugger, something that seems to run in the family lol. I’ll have to get pictures of his siblings some time and share them, too!
Yes I understood the reason why you named him Mercy ![]()
. I was just reminiscing about the good ole days! You know, like back in the Stone Age where I came from!
.
You definitely should share the other 5 when you get a chance! They’re equally as pretty to me! ![]()

I absolutely love a good high-expression Miami look. I know the purists don’t want the het cinder in there, but I say as long as they look like Mercury, then I’m happy for whatever genetics made it happen. He’s a beauty!
Thank you! And I agree, though it’s nice to know you have good foundational Miami blood in there, the het Cinder can’t hurt if it only makes the animal look better. My two cents on the matter, at least. ![]()
I’ll have to try getting a couple of his siblings posted in here next, for sure
In fact, here’s one now!
Cinnabar, 0.1 Miami Motley het Diffused, probable het Cinder
Definitely sporting larger saddles and more pattern/red than Mercury, as well as a little more 'tude, but she’s still a sweet little girl! I also think her little eyebrow spots are way too adorable lol
Here’s my three corn babies! I love how they are such little dorks!
They make me smile.
From smallest, to biggest (though they are close in age and size, relatively xD )
Falcor- male, plasma - he had a lot of “transparency” when i picked him up and we had some giggles at being able to see his poop when held up to the light
But now his silver color is starting to come through <3
Nimona - female, Tessera okeetee
and Rayla - female, Anery motley - i think she’s current favorite just because shes more chill than the others, being the biggest, and i love her greys and blacks.
Lovely, lovely, and again, lovely. You have super nice corns! I’m partial to Falcon, the plasma! ![]()
All three are gorgeous little babies! They’ll only get better with age and size, I bet. I like Nimona the best, I think, but I may be biased because of the name ![]()
