My first ever clutch

This is how I pop all my snakes, great advice! I have probed corns and kings before but always sub adults and older. I wouldn’t probe babies either.

Thank you so much! And I agree the thought of a probe in a little corn isn’t a nice one

First one shed out!

Near the end of its body its saddles are also completely white so it should be a reverse okeetee

Congratulation on a good shed! Hopefully in a few days you’ll have a pic with its first meal inside. :grinning:

This is still a maybe. The saddles fill in and the red expands as they grow. Usually the saddles nearer the tail have less red. Babies usually have wider saddle borders, whatever the morph. It’s a bit of a judgment call, but most will consider a snake to be a good Oketee phase or RO when borders on most of the adult body are 3-5 scales in width.

I guess it will be best to wait for it to get some size and a few more sheds in then

One little cutie patoodie shed down and waiting for the second little cutie patoodie shed!

You did good @shadowspiderjack! :blush::+1::snake::heart:

The second one has now shed too!

Not sure if its the tessera but this one seems to be a bit brighter than the other one

Another lovely baby! This one may have RF, that may account for the brighter coloration. Tessera may be giving that a boost. Give it a few more sheds, lol. They change quite a lot in those first few months.

Pretty! Lots of red already! Very cool looking tessera pattern on that one!

Yea im supprised from the difference from the first shed too. Just need to wait for a few more sheds to determine what they have

just attempted to feed them. So far they aren’t eating so I’ve taken everything out of their tubs and put a blanket over both of them to make it darker.

Did you offer ft? If not, you might need to try live after giving them a few days in the dark……

yea I tried giving them ft. I’m also not too sure where id be able to purchase live so for now ill leave the pinky in the tub with them overnight and see if they ate it in the morning

In the case of corns, live should not be offered so early in attempted feeding. For many folks, it’s quite hard to access trustable live feeders to begin with. This should only be suggested if many other options involving f/t haven’t worked.

Oh ok! That is good to know! I love this place! One can learn so much from so many!!! Thank you @noodlehaus ! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I suppose I easily forget that I have access to live feeders just 10 miles down the road from a reputable family owned pet store…….:woman_shrugging:
