NHC '23, clutches of confusion!

Oh dear, poor Pineapple. Triple clutching is super rare. Not like you haven’t had super rare already, @noodlehaus. I suppose that if she was re-bred for the second clutch, maybe somehow hormonal her body is thinking of a third clutch as if it were the second clutch from the second pairing… that makes a kind of sense to me, anyway. Still, goodness, I hope not!

It was a shedding party last night in the baby bins. Down to two of Azula’s left to shed, and all the week old babies in the fruit clutch shed (3/7) and the rest will follow in the next 48 hours.

Solved part of the Azula clutch confusion!

While I adopted her from Snake Discovery, I wondered where she’d come from. Decided to see if there was any chance she was sold via MorphMarket. Did a few searches and a lot of clicking through Anery Tesseras, couldn’t find her. I had noticed when I took photos of her in the last couple of weeks that there’s no way she was simply Anery. Switched search to Anery Tessera with some of the morphs I knew she wasn’t excluded. Then I saw a listing for a 2019 hatchling that had the same overall head look as her, just a heck of a lot lighter in color. However after pulling Azula out of her bin and comparing her markings to the photos on the listing, I’ve confirmed it is indeed her!

I managed to get photos of the Fruit babies who’ve shed. Was going to try to photograph everyone as it was the perfect level of overcast, but I got rained out in the end. In order: Blackcurrant, Fig, Damson, Pomelo, Rhubarb, and Dragonfruit.

What little cuties they are! Damson has great contrast too.

I think she might be one of the darkest Aneries I hatched this season, if not the darkest.

Okay, managed to take photos of Azula’s clutch as well.

That she is, @lumpy! Quite the looker.

@solarserpents they’re definitely something! Very happy with what I managed to produce this year.

@caron my obsessive tendencies helped me out on finding the listing. I’m just happy to have more information and to know I’m not going crazy that mama wasn’t just an Anery. I can’t wait for further sheds, they’re all just so different!

Isn’t it great to have such a surprise from her! And she wasn’t telling!:clap:

Yuzu has shed, which means all the fruit babies are looking fancy! Tried offering food and three of them ate; Rhubarb, Fig, and Dragonfruit. I also decided to assist feed the two non-eater Fireworks hatchlings, Flitter and Strobe. Hopefully this will kickstart a feeding response.

Great news for the feeding 3! And all the sheds! I know assist feeding is not fun but I suppose it’s part of the process for stubborn little noodle boodles!:sunglasses::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Life has been pretty overwhelming, alongside running my business I’ve also gone back to being a nanny. Makes me very tired but it’s very rewarding!

Hatchling updates:
Fireworks & Azula’s little ones are fed. They’re all getting so much bigger and brighter as they age. Meanwhile Pomelo & Blackcurrant took their first meals today! That leaves me with just Damson & Yuzu left to take their first feed. I think this next week here I will start getting everyone I don’t plan to hold back photographed, weighed, and listings updated/MM account upgraded again. Hoping to get some out of here before the winter shutdown.

Very nice updates! Beautiful babies. Beautiful pics, too! So glad that things are going well with most of them. I hope your stubborn little ones decide they’re going to feed independently soon.
