I feel ya! I am about to leave the house myself. I hate missing the action, but it’ll be a delight to come home and see them later!
I know I am going to be all excited to get home and when I get there it’s just gonna be this snake, still just with its nose poking out, and nothing else has happened! ![]()
Congratulations Eric on the first pip! I’m excited to see what little baby bulls look like! It’s so cool to see different varieties of snakes here!!!
I’m also looking forward to the baby pines! Love love love it! ![]()
Excellent! ![]()
Four have pipped. Looks like a hypo, two ghosts, and a hypo snow. Just teasing me with the snouts out! ![]()
Second clutch began to hatch over night. First out is a nice red bull. Good color out of the egg.
There’s also a banger hypo I’m waiting to emerge. I see red, orange, and purple in there! ![]()
Fantastic! Nice stuff hatching. ![]()
Way to go little bulls!
And that’s no Bull!!! Seriously though the babies are so preciously cute! I can’t wait to see the banger hypo! I’ve never seen one! I’m partial to the reds though!
I really hope you find everything you’re looking for in these clutches! I’m excited for you Eric!
Congratulations Eric I know you have been waiting a long time to produce some fantastic baby bulls of your own. I know you are super excited for them as I am to for you. You have put a lot of time and money in to making a very nice collection of Bulls now you get to have fun with some exceptional looking babies.
I really love how robust baby bulls are as hatchlings, since colubrids tend to be so stringy! Congrats on the awesome babies!
Jeez, they are so, so cute. And the colour on that hypo is so rich – excited to see it after a couple of sheds! Hope this clutch pips many more like it.
@deanaii Thank you, sir!
@tommccarthy Thank you! I am pretty excited. Gotta remind myself I can’t hold them all back! ![]()
@emfraise Yes, they hatch out at a great size. They can start feeding on fuzzies and are generally really easy to get started. The crazy thing is that the black pines will hatch out more than twice the size of the bulls. Louisiana Pines hatch out even larger than that. Some LA Pine hatchlings check-in at 100+ grams out of the egg. That’s larger than burmese python hatchlings.
@kabre They are kinda cute. The first ghost that hatched is pretty feisty but it’s actually pretty funny because of how small it is. I ran home at lunch to check on everything and a second of these hypos has pipped. I can’t wait for them to exit the egg to get a really good look at them. ![]()
Congratulations on the wonderful stellar babies!! You’ve planned and waited and worked and waited and worked and waited some more. It’s terrific to see the beautiful payoff for all of that!

Thanks @caryl! It doesn’t feel like work because I enjoy it. If I could make this my sole source of income I would quit my job in a heart beat. Alas I do not have enough space to work with in order to do so.
This one popped out while I was at work! ![]()
Hypo Snow
Oh wow Eric! That’s a keeper in my opinion!!!
