Stunning pics <3 especially that Blue Eye, I love their purpley/grey tone. I can’t wait to get my boy later this month  (and the het Blue eye and Het albino girl who is coming with him)

Oh my goodness <3 :rainbow:

I will warn you, there isn’t a lot of talk about it yet…but Bushveld said it could be possible. BEL house snakes seem to be more prone to kinking. I’ve seen at least 3 with kinks as opposed to none in other morphs.
I assume that it’s mostly from the smaller gene pool at the moment and should hopefully improve as they are outcrossed more.

These are two of my three current housies <3 The albino (butter?) was my first and I fell majorly in love with them.

Well, unfortunately only one of Spitfire’s eggs came full term (the other 6 went bad at various stages of incubation) but the one baby is now (FINALLY) out, and boy did this one make me wait for it. Day 77. Last year no one hatched later than day 65.

Look at this cutie!

Unfortunately it is special! After I got home last night I checked on it again. He came all the way out but unfortunately has a small kink in the lower 1/3 of his body right near where the umbilical cord was attached. So he will be looking for a pet-only home for a very low price once I’m positive he can pass food and waste and thrive!

Aw man! I’m so sorry Kayla! Such bum luck! I have a feeling he gonna be able to function all right though. I am certain you will be able to find him a loving/caring home :house_with_garden:! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The Boaedon perisilvestris are finally in my possession! Huge thanks to Christen of Stygian Exotics for holding them for me until we passed them off at Tinley. They’re doing great so far, neither wanted to eat last night but it was their very first night here so I’m definitely not holding that against them and am not worried at all.
Anubis and Persephone, my 1.1 pair of Near-Forest Black House Snakes.

Whoa, things have been popping off in the housies thread!

Perisilvestris!! I think I saw you post about these guys on FB. Very, very cool. I love the idea that they’re a larger/hardier cousin to the fulis, though that 80% humidity is nothing to scoff at.

I’m sorry about Spitfire’s clutch, too – that’s such a shame to have most of them go bad. Love the spotty look of the little fighter who made it out.

They are incredibly handsome! A blue-eye and a wild-type? Hypo?

WHOA your butter is bright! That yellow phase is highlighter-bright if the camera is accurate. Really gorgeous little guy, I’d be in love too. Butters are so cool. And for reference, a “Butter” is a specific name for an albino hybrid of boaedon capensis and Zambian green (boaedon fradei I believe?) so if your guy has Zambian green in his lineage he could be a butter – but either way he’s definitely a striking, striking albino.

A proper breeding pair there! They’re going to make some lovely babies.

A shame about the possibility of blue eyes being prone to kinking. I wouldn’t be shocked – the breeder who I got my blue-eyed lady from said they had planned to breed, but the male they got was kinked so they decided not to rather than hunt down another male. Hopefully you’re right and it can be bred out.

Also, while I’m here, pic tax of Chester and Andromeda. Chester being a cozy little string bean, and Andromeda sampling the backdrop of the enclosure I’m in the middle of building her.

Thank you @kabre !
The male may also be pos het t+ albino, but that’s a down the line project maybe. Looking at maybe hypo or bushveld albino next as far as recessives. Maybe get a KBR polymorphic line going if I do well enough with them.
But might just look into a WT or non BEL het to cross them out a bit more.

I really do hope that the kinking issues improve once the outcrossing is further along… It sucks that yours did have a kink ;n;
