POHTOS ARE GROSS,but I need help

I found this problem about 2 months ago.
But it’s not gone worse
Eating and defecating were all fine
What Should I do?

If this has been the same as this or especially if getting worse you need to get this snake to a vet. Any time the flesh is protruding like this there is a risk of infection and necrosis.

I am not a vet, but the tissue there is not normal looking and this can be anything from a parasite load causing encapsulation cysts to a cancer.

If you are unable to afford a vet I would reach out to anyone who can direct you to a reputable rescue group. Sometimes larger dog or cat rescues coordinate with other rescues, or ask who your local reptile shop recommends. Sometimes they will help cover costs, but most likely you will need to relinquish ownership to the rescue.

Wow that looks really painful actually. If this has been progressing for 2 months and getting worse, a vet visit was needed yesterday if not sooner. As @armiyana said, if you cannot afford the cost of a reptile vet or if you don’t have one, it is imperative that you seek a rescue group that will take this animal. Exotic reptile vets typically work with/have connections to, rescue groups that will take on animals in need of immediate medical attention such as this one.

The first link in this thread is a great resource for the US. There’s a European link as well. I don’t know any other real help in vet searching elsewhere. Maybe ask a local breeder or shop who they recommend
