Pondering a prospective passel of Peaches

And here is Lulu. She’s a sweetheart!

The last one for today is Coronet. He's Diffused Opal, very light. In person he is almost luminous. His color became richer after this shed. I'm hoping this means Peach. These pics are indoor lighting. I'll try and do better after he digests.

Oh my goodness Caryl! I’m glad I chose Pat O’Butter because I couldn’t ever choose from these guys! I am so glad for your success! I am assuming you are keeping a couple?:blush::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

You’re going to enjoy your little butter ball. Here he is now, getting ready to be packed for shipping to you.

Yes, I'll be keeping quite a few of this clutch. This is the first time I've produced possible Super Peaches, or possible Peach Opals. I'm holding onto most at least for a few sheds to observe their coloring as it develops. There are a few Peach Amels/Fires who are ready to go now.

Such a great name. Lol. Reminds me of one of my favorite dumb jokes. It’s better told verbally, but…

Q: What’s Irish and comes out in the spring?

A: Patio Furniture.

They’re coming along nicely! Very pretty babies.

I AM slipping, how right you are, @caron . Dam was driving and I was reading posts while coming back from FedEx. I was actually puzzling in my head, “Gee, I didn’t realize Ireland was known for patio furniture. I wonder what brands…”

Terrible! :joy: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
(Edit: apologies to husband Dan. My phone always “corrects” his name to Dam. It also often changes her/hers to het/hets. Thanks, AI! :upside_down_face:)

Got home from FedEx and discovered a leak! No pippies yet, but the three good eggs were shooting there being eggs when we left. I’m assuming that the leak means somebody inside is wriggling around and will soon be making an appearance!

Btw, the two eggs which didn’t have veins at first never developed them. They just shriveled and fuzzed over. The other three seem unfazed by this.

So your pondering is even funnier than the the joke!. I heard that joke on The Golden Girls! :joy:

I refuse to look at the babies that come out! :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

But I just might peek anyway………

Tonight there’s still a bit of a leak in that same spot. Another egg has dented in the past few hours. Shouldn’t be long now.

I spent the day feeding and cleaning, sure every time I glanced at the eggs that I would see a new nose. Big nope! Lol. I did see more dents and more leaking, but no pippes yet. These babies are really making me wait! They’re the very last of the season and at Day 67 they’ve gone longer than any others.

I did a quick candle, and they look okay. Surely they won’t make me wait too much longer, right?

No they won’t! I bet by the end of tomorrow you will have some pips! What morphs are these guys going to be again?

Maybe they are going to be huge and soaking up the last minute yolk!

And that’s no “yolk” @caryl !:joy:

Oh my gosh, no yolk! :joy:

They’re from the Peach parents, so they will be Amel, Fire, Opal, or Diffused Opal all with a chance of Peach/Super Peach.
