Question about reclaiming title as regular

Pretty strange, I’m on here EVERY DAY, and post at least a couple of times a week, and I’ve just noticed I was demoted. Was it done by a mod?

Why do you think an admin would randomly demote your trust level?

Is there a way to check or to know? Because unless it was done by someone, it doesn’t make sense that it would change back on its own, I’m on here far too often.

I don’t believe we can check that, but my guess is that you likely still missed a requirement.

I think I had it at one point myself, but had some periods of time where I wasn’t as active so I ended up losing it. Oops

It’s not a MorphMarket thing. The community runs on 3rd party software, Discourse apparently. The regular title is based on an algorithm, we don’t have any control over it.

I believe it’s called Discourse, not Discord!

But yeah, most of the functions are automatic, though the admins can manually do things it if need be.

Well, I can’t imagine what I missed or how it’s reset since I regained it around Aug-Sept (I want to say it was then, based on the conversation and the quote I just used, but I know I had to earn it back after a hiatus earlier this year) but I assume since admins are able to grant the title, it goes both ways. Perhaps I was suspended or silenced without my knowledge, I have no idea. I just went to retitle something so it was more helpful to others in the future and discovered I’m not able to.

I don’t think you would have been suspended/silenced without notice or reason, unless you were making posts that were against rules or starting fights with other community members.

They did just change the requirements to the 365 days instead of 100 days earlier in this thread, I’m hoping the change didn’t somehow reset people’s counts.

I’m pretty sure it did, some people had comments on this thread regarding that when the change was made, but I’d earned it back since then, or at least I’d thought I did. So, I don’t know. Oh well.
