Reptile Morph Art Series

Hi everyone! Today has been a great day (I was accepted into a prestigious grad school and snagged my very first apartment!) so I will be doing a SALE!

My $5 line base reptiles will be $2 for the next 48 hours (of ordering, not necessarily me finishing them)!!! I will be hesitant to allow for changes on the bases for such a reduced sale, but am always willing to negotiate!

Thank you so much! I’m very excited! (Even though 5 more years of school is a scary thought)

So more reptiles? Potentially finding your froggy friends from a couple years ago? Me being an even worse influence to try and get you to get more reptiles even if you aren’t sure?

Edit: and congratulations!

I’d love to say this is the start of all my adventures, but this apartment is no pets, not even fish :sob: :sob:

So at least one more year before things get going, probably a bit more but…at least I can start saving money in a reptile specific account

No more dinosaurs yet since I am so far ahead in that series than in my others, but tonight was bird night!

For my series on species driving to extinction by human activity, or recovering from near extinction with human help

Carolina Parakeet (extinct)

Passenger Pigeon (extinct)

California Condor (recovering)

Well how would they know…

Passenger pigeons have always been one of my favorite birds for some reason. I am still determined to keep one as a pet even though they are extinct :smiling_face_with_tear:. I am holding onto the small bit of hope that a random dude in his moms basement will find a way to bring them back in a massive wave of pigeon glory

The way humans have treated pigeons in modern times makes me so sad :sob: :sob: we bred them to be our friends and now we call them pests! I’d love to own a few fancy pigeons one day, much to my boyfriend’s dismay :joy:

All I can say is I WILL have me some pigeons one day and nobody can stop me. I may actually just go to a place where they are considered pests and just catch a couple. I would be doing the city a “favor” and I got me some awesome little buddies. That is only a very small chance of happening as I would only be willing to do that with an injured one. Either way, pigeons and chickens are the all time best birds and that is a fact that I change anyone to disprove

My most recent conference was in DC and the intrusive thoughts to grab a pigeon off the street and try to get it through airport security was CRAZY

In case anyone wanted to see, here are my current and upcoming projects!

Checkmarks show the art is done but the video isn’t edited yet.

Ceno. = cenozoic era animals (mostly mammals)

Extinct = the category tonight’s animals were from, either recently extinct or nearly there, all due to humans

What do you mean megalodons are extinct? Haven’t you seen those amazing videos that prove it is still alive? They are definitely living in the Mariana Trench because it is so reasonable to think that a warm water giant fish would all come together and decide to move to an inhospitable place where there wouldn’t be enough food for the smallest baby. Of course they are still alive.

That’s literally going to be my video topic :joy: Meg gets to be in the extinct category and not the cenozoic category because people refuse to think this giant thing with the appetite of…a giant shark…is still hiding in the deadzones :joy:

Hooray!! Huge congratulations to you, @cmills ! We know they’re fortunate to have you! :confetti_ball: :tada: :fireworks:

I totally agree about pigeons. I adore them, always have. If you pigeon fans haven’t read this, you should. If you’re already a pigeon fan you likely know the story of Cher Ami. This is still well worth reading.

The digital art series is still more focused on other things right now, but here is an acryllic paint feathered dilophosaurus with a face based on a red tail boa and a crest more loosely based on a wild type blood python!
