Reptile Morph Art Series

One more ceratopsian for the night, Eotriceratops. Basically Triceratops but a good percentage larger, it is currently considered a seperate species, but some people fairly argue that there might not be enough evidence to prove this is just the larger extreme of triceratops phenotypes

Based on a pastel enchi calico BP (seeing all these BP morphs is making me understand why they are so popular to breed, SO MANY PRETTY MORPHS)

Also used a model ref for this one, based on a PNSO Triceratops

Also guess who AGAIN had quills in the draft and forgot to add them to the final :joy:

Just like with the triceratops, I realized I never drew the stegosaurus, opting for its more exotic cousins - so this has finally been righted.
I love the idea of stegos firing up bright warning colors, so I based this on a BP with great contrast: Blackhead Pastel Hypo

Super cool! Black and gold theme are always dead to my head since those were my school colors growing up.

Just one question. Can I get that free shipping on a Stegosaurus?? :upside_down_face:

Redbubble doesn’t have a sale going on right now for you to get free shipping by purchasing yourself, but I can try to let you know once one comes up! Should be LOTS of sales coming regularly pretty soon as we enter the holidays

@caryl, it looks like a pop up sale for up to 50% off sitewide is happening now for a limited time, but don’t worry if you miss it, RB loves sales as Christmas nears

Here’s another bird → dinosaur → reptile loophole here with the bald eagle. Created for my series on endangered animals, since bald eagles are such a conservation success with the ban on DDT and the limits on lead based hunting ammunition.
I’ll also include a cool color chart with how they develop, since they aren’t born with their adult colors and its a cool gradual fade.
The scene here is an adult fishing with a juvinile looking on; maybe the adult took their fish, or the youngster is waiting to try and steal.

Oh thanks! I’ll try!

Here is some artwork my daughter did and one of my sons. The 2 dogs my daughter did in one hour each at one of the paint and wine places. She also did the Apollo one. My son did the last one in art class at school.

I’ve always hated my original art of a displaying Maip:

It felt so juvenile and goofy looking
So I redrew it today and it looks a bit better imo

No other dinos tonight, but these might be weird enough to be adjascent

My first attempt at amber, as a Jurassic Park chapter illustration

I mean…he willingly became a compact, organless sperm donor, so…I guess good for him?

Lol, well I was thinking it from the perspective that could be seen as a representation of the awful reality and how little value that most the world places on the women. Sorry, I was really tired when I commented, like 36 hours straight at that point :joy:

@cmills , I LOVE the anglerfish piece! One of the subjects I taught was marine science, and the deep sea unit was always a favorite. I’d have been thrilled to have that in my classroom.

The hate is misplaced. The original looks pretty great to me. The revised version is also pretty great.

The amber is really cool, too! The depth is clear. Just wow.

Thank you so so much! Sometimes after staring at your own art for hours as you work on it makes you totally blind to how cohesive the piece actually is

I haven’t been able to work on art for a bit, as I proposed my Master’s this Wednesday, and that required a LOT of prep work :sob:

But here is a Rajasaurus! I was thinking about how silly abelisaurids must look laying down with their little arms, and eventually this tired fella happened!

This is based on the popular post by @colezdanis of Kalogenic reptiles titled ‘She’s out here looking like a plump toasted marshmallow’ of his Super Blackhead pied BP

Also today marks my first anniversary on MM! Thank you all for a year filled with love, support, and scaley friends! You guys really keep me sane on the rough days
