Reptile Morph Art Series

Celebrated the first day of my 2nd year of grad school by making a goose parade after work. I have no idea why, this was just the thing for today I guess

:joy:. Yeah they are cute as goslings but as adults they are very messy and territorial. Give me a duck any time! :joy:

Messy is pretty much the big downside for me, I love the sass :joy: :joy:

Hey y’all, I am allegedly still alive. My Master’s Thesis goes out for review tomorrow and I defend on Nov 11, one day before I pack up and head to the West Coast for a neuroscience conference.
I’ve been so busy I basically have stopped making art altogether, just no time and so exhausted I can’t ‘art’

I’m picking up a polymer clay kit to try out since my brain is responding better to more hands-on tactile activities.

I’d like to try making a few snakes, since noodle is a clay shape I am confident I can make. What species and morphs would you guys like to see? Looking for inspiration and sanity

I lurk around every day! I just haven’t had much cool in the way of reptiles to contribute recently, but I’m always around!

What markers do you use?

Most of my work is digital (AutoDesk Sketchbook Free), but when I do traditional art I use colored pencils (PrismaColor), or a variety of acrylic, guache, or watercolor paints

i do some digital sometimes too, i prefer Procreate-what do you use?

Just the free version of Autodesk Sketchbook, it is fairly decent for a free program, though its animation component is really lackluster and annoying, so I need to branch out for an animation program I like

When I color traditionally, I typically use copics or ohuhu.

I’ve heard great things about both!

Haven’t managed any herps yet, but here is a tiny clay version of my dog (complete with a real tail puff of her fur), and a capybara with a lillypad hat!
