Your paintings are beautiful! I get Impressionist vibes, I especially love the hobbit house.
My step-mom does oil paintings. I’ll try to remember to take some pictures next time I’m over there for dinner. She does more portraits than landscapes, though.

Been busy as heck, so art has been slow, but still ongoing:

Experimental piece using the Bob Ross technique for background foliage, learned lots from this one
“Bog Mama” Finished today, March 4, 2026
A broody deinocherius lays on her marsh nest - inspired by the geese that nest in the celery bog near my apartment - tried for some dramatic lighting here, which was partially successful
- Several perspective and sizing mistakes, which is probably because I worked on this over 2 months, but still good lessons learned

Gonna throw this little dude in here. My partner and I were having a text conversation and he misread something as Retic Bulldog. Lol. So he asked me to draw a reticulated python / bulldog cross.
I cheated and went with Bull Terrier because the head shape felt like it fit more. Might still try an English Bulldog version at some point, which was more what he hoped for. Lol

They really are. When I was little I always loved the little tree frogs with bat like wings I would see sculpture or art of sometimes.

Last night I wanted to do a one-sitting painting - aka something I spent one evening doing, rather than stretching it over weeks
It isn’t perfect, but the goal wasn’t perfection, it was making something in an evening, and I like it
The species included are the blue morpho and monarch butterflies
