Show Off Your Cresties 🤩

Will do, I hope to produce a soft scale Lilly White :crossed_fingers:

One egg has looked off since the beginning but hadn’t smelt or got worse so I’m being hopeful for that one :crossed_fingers:

I was thinking female too, but second guessed myself. Looks like 2 females so far. I haven’t been able to check/get weights yet but summer break starts Friday, so I’ll likely have more for y’all to check. :purple_heart:

Looking at the pic I’d say yes, but I can’t see any pores with his legs down like that as camera has not focused on the correct area. He could simply need to go :poop:

Might be better if one of his legs were up so can focus better?

I am super confused right now. Yesterday I found a baby (!) in the adults enclosure. It didn’t have a tail which is understandable and could have happened from multiple reasons. I took it out and set it up in a new enclosure. I figured that there could be another baby in an egg or in the enclosure so I sifted through all of the substrate and took it out little by little looking for eggs. I took all of the substrate out and thoroughly inspected each clump that I took out. I’m confused because I didn’t find any eggs, when I should have found one old shell and one live egg or shell. It was late at night so I might do it again today when I can see better but I highly doubt that I missed any. There is no other medium that the egg could have been laid in except in dried moss in the cork branches, which is way too dry to keep an egg alive.
I went through all of the substrate previously on 5/27 and found 1 clutch of eggs. That clutch is still alive and developing, but it looks nowhere close to hatching. So, how could a clutch be laid after that, and develop and hatch much quicker (at the same temp), and leave absolutely no trace of a shell?

@foxreptile ill let Matt know we have to try again. Fudge was wiggly so it made it hard. :joy:

@erie-herps how big is the baby? Cause they are insanely good at hiding, especially when they’re so teeny. I’d check the cork and stuff, because if it’s as humid there as it is here, it could have happened. But pictures!

The baby is tiny, probobally about a half inch/centimeter long. It’s very possible that the other one could have hidden in the cork bark, so I’ll go check that real quick now.
