That’s ok.
Did you see parents etc then? And have their lineage?

I did not see parent pics.
They were my first geckos purchased here on MM, and I am only going on what was in their descriptions.
I might try and move Berb tomorrow to see how they do.
Gingerbread Latte was fine with Milkyway, but super aggressive with Strawberry. She had lost some scales on her nose in the last month or so from digging into the plants too much (I assume) it’s healed but maybe that’s why she was aggressive 🤷
Failing that Vanilla and Caramel might accept her, they are chill.
If personally try to get info.
Ask to see parents and for lineages.
If they got parents from ac they’d of wanted to show them off, should of shown you and given you lineage anyway to be honest to prove they’re telling the truth. If on here you should still have messages to ask them
Not that they’re lieing but they’re not ‘tangerines’ as it is. And recently I have found a lot of people trying to sell geckos and lie about lineage, when I’ve asked to see parents there is always a reason as to why they won’t show me…
Berb is a big girl so should be ok
Cherry was like it too. Hated Penny but accepted Rose and Rebel!
Penny is the sweetest too
That’s because she likes the boys
Love those 2! Hopefully some can have friends Atleast!

Yes you should still be able to get info. Failing that, AC Reptiles might be able to confirm if they are from his collection and what line of you contact him (if bred by him and sold by someone else)
I agree with @ghoulishcresties they cannot be tangerine, but can be from the line and carry the genetics. Bubblegum pigment is a different type.
I’ve heard about people advertising soft scales and not actually being soft scale, so yes I’d recommend seeing pictures & getting more info on lineage if possible, esp if your planning to breed.
Your soft scale quad, doesn’t appear quadstripe to me either, it should have a line going all the way across the laterals on both sides (could just be my sight in the dark)
Saguaro isn’t a full pin, but a high % pin (I love pinstripes)
Not trying to critigue, just trying to help. They are still very nice looking geckos
That’s my concern, Berb was 50g at last weigh & Strawberry is only 38g. I think they are of a similar size, but I guess I won’t know for sure until I put them next to each other.
If you send more pics of both sides we can help with correct morphs if sold wrong
Weight isn’t to much of an issue if around same size.
Dolly was around 25 when added to one of the groups and everyone else was 50+.
Hopefully they get along so strawberry can have a cuddle partner 🥲
I wouldn’t normally mind, but as Berb is new I just don’t know if she will snap randomly in the middle of the night, but to be fair, she has been just as calm as Strawberry so far.
I had a feeling with Gingerbread Latte as she has become a different gecko since pairing her with Milkyway, maybe she misses him! Or maybe that experience traumatised her. She was fine when I took her out to move her though so she still likes me
I won’t be re-pairing her again next year to see if she calms down again
Cresties can cause so much anxiety
I just caught Gingerbread Latte rubbing her nose on the mesh roof. She use to do this as a baby when she was with another Crestie but she grew out of it soon after seperating her, they was until I paired her a few months ago.
Do you think she is trying to hurt herself? I nievely thought it was getting off shed, but she isn’t shedding. She has been doing this on the plants roots also
This is the damage she has caused herself in the last few months, I’ve been trying to clean it as best I can
Omg what is she doing!
The only time I’ve had a Crestie do this is when trying to get out say. (Can literally see them rubbing their nose left to right like a wally)
Or when running about and they smash their nose into something! Mushus nose is all busted up currently because he runs about like a crazy man.
It looks nice and clean though, so good job with the cleaning!
She’s got a lot of coverage/branches hasn’t she?
Yes, the only thing she hasn’t got is her coconut ATM as I moved it across to strawberries enclosure, but she had the coconut before and was doing it. She has branches to climb and 2 big plants where if she is inside, I cannot see her at all. She was just bopping her head into the lid over and over, I’ve seen her so it to the glass recently too. Doesn’t look likes she’s done any more damage at least
I think she might have Gecko version of social anxiety. I’m not going to hold her for a a few days or so to see if that might help her relax, although will make it hard to get her coconut in there so will have to see which is more stressful for her.
Thank you both for your help and insight! I really do appreciate it as I learn.
I certainly don’t want to mislead anyone.
I will contact the breeders (both of whom had 100% positive ratings and were very nice helpful people!)
I’ll try to get pics of them fired up.
Heard back from 1 breeder.
Tangelo was purchased as 1 of a group of Tangerines directly from AC Reptiles.
AC Reptiles doesn’t tend to put a label on morphs when selling, just what they have been bred from eg. Tangerine X Harry line, unless the gecko is really pronounced, then he puts something like tangerine pigment.
My opinion is it’s probably miss communication and Tangelo is a tangerine pigment soft scale as a Crestie needs to be orange base to class as either orange or tangerine.
So he/she was sold on?
How old?
Defo not a tangerine. Personally I don’t see either of them as one, they don’t really seem to have the pigmentation also, so may be from his line but they didn’t get the tangerine colour but would still be in their lineages so can produce them. Also with the colouration etc soft scales get it makes me wonder if one, as they’re usually brighter or cleaner if that makes sense at all to you!
If you can get clear images of the side so we can see scales. Then we can say for sure if a soft scale also for you.
Put her coconut in and see if that helps.
Since you said she was in there a lot, she might be searching for it?…
I’m going to add a Coconut hide in later when I get in from work. She isn’t a Crestie to hide, she sits on top of the coconut in the open watching everything, despite her hiding spots and she hated it when I hid the coconut at the back or enclosure lol
She seems fine and normal this morning, but she didn’t eat, probably because I put her food in a different place 🤦 I will change that later too.
I think I might have to make her a non breeder, I just don’t want to stress her out
