I think I’ve shared enough ‘horror’ escapes on here!
The baby I just posted jumped and ran under a rack, luckily I grabbed right away. I swear one day I’m gonna have a heart attack with the little buggers :joy:

I’m dreading little ones trying to escape :scream: let’s hope the first few are nice to me

Or they bite and you just have to laugh at them :heart:

Yeah, I had a scare like that once. I was going to do some routine maintenance on Irwin’s enclosure. And I didn’t see him anywhere, so I took everything out of the enclosure. I still didn’t see him. I started freaking out, looking around the room, it was terrifying. Eventually though, I saw some movement in the dirt, so I dug through, and I found him.

I’ve decided to try breed crested geckos! On a very small scale though, as I really only plan to get a mate for Irwin and just attempt to pair them. Won’t be the end of the world if they don’t mate though, because I’ll still have two beautiful crested geckos. Anyways, back on track, I will try to get the other gecko next year, and I’m already so excited at the prospect of another crestie. I’d like to hear your opinions on what would pair with Irwin well. From what I’ve heard from the breeder, he’s a dark base harlequin pinstripe.

Any pics of him?

Is there anything in particular you would like to produce, such as pinstripes? Or something you want to work towards?

Here are some pics. Some of them aren’t great, and some are from a while ago, but I think it shows his colors well. Also, I am interested in Lilly whites and extreme harlequins.

He’s a harlequin high % pinstripe, and yes dark based, so I’d go for another pinstripe personally! :relaxed:

With 2 harley pins you’ve got the chance of extreme harleys! And Ofcourse pins, and whatever else is in their lines will appear

I’d say make sure to go for structure too aswell as colour/pattern, the bigger the head the better! And also lineage, when selling having lineage helps a lot.

I agree he is a dark base high % pinstripe harlequin.

I love pinstripes, so for me I’d go for a pinstripe. Lilly White’s are dramatically reducing in price, at least it is in UK. So that could be a good possibility too.

Just depends what you are looking to produce.

I have a few projects & goals.

I’m going to be breeding my extreme tricolour pinstripe next year to my tricolour Lilly White to see what that might produce but I’m also going to breed the Lilly White to my dark base soft scale :crossed_fingers: as I love soft scales and dark base.

I agree lineage and head structure will help you sell.

I would suggest to set yourself a goal, what would you like to produce?

I love how dark Irwin is!

Been too quiet. But I caught pictures of some of the adults.

Kain showing how he likes to hang.

Can you spot one of the girls?

My daughter named the sister twinkletoes so I thought sprinkles is a similarly cute name.

I really love the high pattern stuff and all the weirdly patterned stuff, so maybe something like that?

If you want more patterned, what about a tricolour pinstripe? To get the side patterning up and higher and add some colour?

When you say high pattern, do you mean extremes of Tricolour?

I love pinstripe extreme tricolours

I chose Cinnamon because of his squiggly looking dorsal pattern :relaxed:

Yes! I love that! Plus Irwin’s harlequin would make that even better. I think I want to work towards Lilly white extreme harlequin tri colors.
