Show Off Your Cresties 🤩

With lillies, If you want higher patterning then you go for a lower expression Lilly white tricolour. Less white and more base colour, white a lot about as not as sought after.
Or go for a high white tricolour which you get less of the tricolour patterning showing.

Depends if you want more pattern or more white!

Extreme tris are amazing, always amazing me and change a lot from young! Tricolour will forever by my fav morph.
So maybe go for a tricolour or extreme tri? Then maybe add Lilly in eventually or you get Irwin a Lilly as you’ll get some nice cleaner dorsal.
Or you keep offspring back from him and a tri and then add that to a Lilly?

Lots to Think about

I guess I’ll just have to see how it goes! Hopefully I don’t end up with to many crested geckos. :joy:

Yeah good luck too you :joy:

Yes, Lilly whites are amazing. I have Milkyway, he is a fairly high white dark base tricolour Lilly White. So when his fully fired, I can’t see much colouring other then white and his base colour. But when his fired down he shows a fair bit of orange. His got great lineage, I expect he will make some amazing offspring :crossed_fingers:

This is a pic of him in the process of firing up. If you look closely at his head by the crests, you should be able to notice one side is white, while the other is a pale orange and his showing dots of white leading up from the dorsal.

I’ve got quite a few offspring from Lilly White pairings but are not Lilly White, they make some amazing non Lilly White Geckos! so you’d just need to decide which you would prefer.

I’d recommend keeping an eye on all of the morphs you like as one might pop up and you will know that’s the one you want :relaxed: that’s what I do. Although I’m not buying any ATM as I’m hoping to make the decision with baby cresties next year :crossed_fingers:

Some of the babies were out when I misted. Had to brighten up the photos a bit. I did what I could with an older iPhone. :weary:

:christmas_tree: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :christmas_tree:

Ever wonder why Santa doesn’t deliver presents to reptiles! Because they are awake watching for him just like Coco was doing last night :santa:

I noticed the stuck shed was gone a couple days ago. I put Lucky in a cup with damp paper towels a couple times. I’m pretty sure Lucky shed since it looks a lot brighter. I also added damp moss to increase humidity (which I think helped).

I got shoeboxes (for hatchling cresties) as a gift yesterday but after trying to assemble them they seemed very flimsy (as in the sides came off with essentially no effort, trying to open the door would pull the whole front off). I’m not sure why this is, are the other ones single-piece and don’t need assembly or are there more pieces other than the foldable clear plastic, front, and back?

That’s good about Lucky :four_leaf_clover:

No. They come as three pieces, front back and middle. If you have the same ones as me and ghoulish Cresties then they are being assembled wrong. Took me a few times to get it

They need to be folded and when in place will hear a slight click.

Do you have a picture of the ones you got?

I just finished assembling and getting pictures. There’s a lip over the tab that prevents the tab from going through all the way which doesn’t let the sides attach to the middle seamlessly.
Also, what needs folded? The middle piece, the tab, or something else?

The tab also needs to fold

Just a quick pic of my enclosure

The tab bends back and when you attach it to the white part it should lift up and lock into place.

I hope that makes sense.

If not I’ve still got mine to set up so I can do a walk through with pictures. But that would need to be later in the day.

Just let me know

The tab needs to be folded inwards, you should hear a click when putting together then

I just finished putting them in the room and I love them, they seem sturdy but are still inexpensive. The only other thing I have to do is cover the front vent in the handle.

Glad you did it, it’s so simple once you know how to do it, but annoyingly doesn’t come with instructions!

I need to cover the front bit also. I’m considering expanding foam with pin holes for extra ventilation or I’ve got some mesh. I can’t decide which to do 🤷
