Show Off Your Cresties 🤩

I noticed that at the very bottom there were instructions. Then I realized that I opened the box upside down. :man_facepalming: It would have saved a lot of time, but at least I know how to do it.
I’m not sure how I’m going to cover the front, maybe I’ll use wood with air holes (but that might be damaged in humidity). Expanding foam could work but I think it’d be tricky to attach it on. I might start with mesh screen to see if it will work.

Mine are probably at the bottom of the box also then 🤷

What we did is cover the handle vents on both sides with electrical tape, that way it was okay if it gets wet, and no stickies get stuck.

I open mine from the bottom because it’s easier for me. But you can have an idea.

Isn’t electrical tape sticky?

I did a lot of research on tape and the results horrified me. And I couldn’t find any tape suitable for reptiles.

There was body parts missing, such as limbs. There was even layers of skin missing which then showed organs.

I wouldn’t recommend using any tape :scream:

I use the white duct tape. You tape either side

Where do you get these flatpack kits from? Been googling and haven’t seen them for sale anywhere.

I got mine from Amazon

You need to tape both sides of the handle, inside and outside. And I check it every time I open the box to make sure it’s not peeling.

I agree with the tape statement, however. I would never use it in a normal enclosure, especially one exposed to heat constantly. Because they’re kept at room temp, I’m not as worried about the fumes.

However, I’m open to suggestions where I won’t have to struggle opening the handle. That’s why I didn’t put the screen like you’ve got, because I wouldn’t have been able to open it.

Excuse us, Mother. We were using the sleep.

I think Lily’s face just says it all while she’s mean-mugging me from the cork.

I need more clutter in almost all of their enclosures. And a bunch of the isopods in Kain’s cage bit it in the food last night. :weary:

Yes, who did she choose?

She’s bloody undecided haha.
But she loves the little twins!
So I’ve said no rush, she can have 1 of them

I suppose when they look so similar it’s a hard decision

I feel that! When I got Irwin, I went to a breeder that a friend had recommended and asked what she had available at the time, and she showed me a bunch of siblings that looked very similar. You could barely tell the difference except for a slight difference in pattern. I eventually chose Irwin, but it was literally the hardest decision I’ve ever made. lol

Yeah that’s the issue isn’t it! They’re so similar even I wouldn’t choose now… She wanted a tangerine and lots of spots. So she can even have one of Pongos orange supers next year for a future pairing

And you picked the right boy that’s for sure :relaxed:

It must be so hard to choose :scream: I don’t think I’d manage.

For a child I think it’s even harder :joy:

Maybe she should have them both :smirk:
