Show Off Your Cresties 🤩

Welcome  the more the merrier!
I find hypo very interesting as well, yellow and orange in particular. Four of my little ones (three orange and one yellow) have bright yellow parents, but I’m not sure if they passed on the hypo trait to their babies. We will see. They are too young to breed this year.

Thank you! Of course  and in reply to the other comment, her real magic is when she’s unfired!

Citrine fired down, and penalty pic of my boy Theoden (LW) fired up! Hopefully they both upload, still new

I would have definitely never considered abroad, good to know it’s easy! She’s lovely, when will she be with you?

She’s got issues…

Quads are lovely too!

I will say lavs are amazing though, but my gosh a funny one :joy:
Turns out Phoenix isn’t the one for Tiny, he’s too bright and with the orange/yellow tones so I wouldn’t get great ‘pinks’ out, and they’re hard enough to get as it is, 1/2 a season… And Nelson isn’t a good match either as he fires to a brownish red. Which means also Natuto wouldn’t be a good match as he’s too bright…
I need to find a red male, that’s not stacked, that’s a bit darker than Phoenix red wise, but still doesn’t fire brown red, and with cream/white.
It’s a right pain in the :peach:
So I’m on the search and so far nothing is good enough for her :woman_facepalming:t2::joy:

But if I can’t find the right male, I will put her to KJ the tri for more lavs, hold back any females and put each female to a different red to see what happens

Hopefully you find a Crestie worthy🤞

I think I’m going to TRY to hold off for a lavender. Trouble is, I’ve seen a lot advertised as lavender but they aren’t and they are hard to tell unless fired up (in pictures at least). I think I’d have to get a grown up girly Crestie, just to be sure.

Some do fire darker that’s the issue.
Ask to see parents etc and ask lineage! As I’m sure you do already!

I mean mines young and only knew she was a lav a few months after born as she’d changed, but shes a lav, lav so easier to tell…

Yeah, I want a lav lav.

I’ve asked for lineage but they come from dark ISH & yellow or dark ISH & red.

So yes there is a chance of lavender, but not certain.

Look at Rainbow Drop, he was lavender when I got him, but now his dark with a blue/grey sheen to him. I’m hoping he carries the gene still :crossed_fingers:

Some cresties that are dark based do fire down a lav colour, but then aren’t ’lavenders’ as such.
Honestly it’s a nightmare! Dolly fires down a lav colour too but wouldn’t say she’s one… It’s the hypo of the black… I will work this out… :joy:

(As do dark based fire down a grey or green etc, it’s crazy and it varies so much, but I’m assuming if firing down a lav then it’s a good sign….)
