Show Off Your Cresties 🤩

Yeah that’s the issue
Checking them constantly to see what’s what and being 100% sure… on darks too… you really like the work!:rofl:

Also are you going to try work the spots out also? So keep a soft back with less, and then keep that ones baby back and so on until there’s none and you’re left with a soft or super soft with no spots?
Just Spots are such an issue here in the uk it’s ridiculous… everyone is literally putting Dal into everything :woman_facepalming:t2:
I have my extreme tri Dal with red spots, but she’s the only ā€˜messy’ one I’ll be keeping for now… that’s more due to her base colour firing down lav and her dad being a massive 90g red male

That’s the plan. Both Rainbow Drop & Kona have a couple of spots but will have to see how they produce in offspring or I may need to buy more soft scales to work it out of them.

It is so hard to find a Crestie with just spots (and great head structure) or a Crestie without any spots ATM.

It’s as though people think it’s easy money & don’t realise how much effort goes into care and select breeding.

I’ve seen so many advertisements stating rare Crestie, when it’s not & it’s just a harlequin dalmation :woman_shrugging:

Gingerbread Latte is super plump and has been digging :crossed_fingers: I’m hopeful, she weighs 55g ATM

CrĆØme from her has some doesn’t she

Oh I know, I’m lucky pongo has a good head as I know some breeders with dals/super dals that the parents have tiny or inverted crests! And rather than pairing to another with a bigger head they pair to the same…

Oh don’t get me started on that… some up for sale I’ve seen today that are literally hatchlings!!
Stating they can either go in a Couple weeks or another saying a couple grams…

The amount of time and effort I and others put in, it’s like why can’t they do the same!
It’s a very rewarding hobby I think, watching them grow and develop into their lovely colours/patterns… Seeing their little personality develop too.
It’s not hard really is it… Don’t sell them freshly hatched :pensive:

OMG I’ve seen some advertised too small. I mean I know I have bought lil Cresties but that’s only after I’ve probed and made it obvious I know what I’m doing.

I couldn’t possibly sell them freshly hatched, too much could go wrong, plus how will I know what is going to look like! I’m going to regret selling any, but that’s because I will want to keep them all.

How many years until the kids move out

Rosie looks cute but refused all live feed today. Ate 3 crickets over the weekend, now she’s too good for them I guess (or wax worms!)

Aha we have a Rose here!

What a Wally, crickets are the best, and wax worms are even better! :flushed:

So cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: maybe she just doesn’t want bugs today :woman_shrugging:

Wax worms are a favourite here! Some aren’t impressed that they only get it as a treat and would eat them all in one go if given the chance lol

Oh we all have regrets :joy:

And you have ones you nearly sell then something happens! And you’re like thank gosh haha.

My plan is to pick out favourites early on, but I will still have to think hard before I sell any. We managed to follow this rule with the snakes, mostly  so hopefully we can with the Cresties.

It’s going to be so exciting

You say that… some take a while to change :joy:
Any early on ones I chose I didn’t keep, some I said I wouldn’t keep stayed as ended up lush, like Nameless! I didn’t plan on keeping her at all, she just kept changing :relaxed:

I’m excited for you!! Good luck, and I’m sure we all expect photos on hatch day in April depending when you pair

I will definitely add pics. I’m sure I will be right as I will want to keep them all

Changing the subject…
This Geckos tail has turned orange with age, it’s a recent change and is 2 years old. I’ve not seen this before, has anyone else?

Gecko is remaining nameless for now as I’m going to use it in the gecko game :yum:

Colour changing in tails can happen yeah, Infact on a WhatsApp chat not long ago someone had a little panic about there’s bless them, thought they did something wrong.

Corpse has yellow, it seems to have gotten more yellow as he’s been here. And baby wise also had some change in colour or even go very dark as gotten older.

Oooh a naming one! Ok… I need to get this :joy:
And I already have my suspicions…

I have new babies arriving tomorrow and I’m so excited I feel sick  I don’t think this excitement will ever get old! I can’t wait, literally no idea how I’m gonna sleep tonight!! One got picked up last night and I’m all emotional haha.

Is there anything better than new gecko days?!

There is not!
My new girl is starting her journey from Poland to the uk tomorrow and I’m so nervous again, she won’t be delivered until sat, and that’s too a friend not even me yet haha, I got Naruto from the same breeder and he’s perfect so I know I don’t need to be nervous really

And the other half has snapped up another Harley drippy female from leaping, for the extreme line with no pin we are also doing
So that’s 4 new females this year so far. Can’t wait to get my Lilly though :smiling_face_with_tear:

Any pics of your new babies?? :relaxed:
